Sage Northcutt Says UFC 192 Win Was Everything He Dreamed

October 5, 2015 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Sage Northcutt spoke following his win over Francisco Trevino at UFC 192. Check out the highlights:

On his performance in the fight: “It’s everything I’ve dreamt of, everything that I’ve imagined and everything that I thought of; I visualized it just like it happened. The first kick or so that I threw, it wasn’t to actually hit him. It was just to set up him, see what he was going to do and throw a feint. And then from there, I hit him and dropped him then started throwing elbows and took him back down and finished the fight.”

On continuing work on his skills: “Right now I’m still young,” he said. “I’m 19 years old, and I have a lot of technique to work on right. I’m working on positional, situational, drilling, technique and not really training specifically for a fight camp for any specific fighter. So if Dana White or Mr. (Joe) Silva goes, ‘Hey Sage, you’re going to fight this guy in two weeks from now,’ I’m not going to have a fight camp for that guy yet that I’m going to go fight. It’s just training my technique my to get myself better for now because I still have so much to learn.”
