Satoshi Ishii Says He Must Beat Rampage Jackson

Satoshi Ishii spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Rampage Jackson at Bellator 157. The highlights are below:

On the stakes of the fight: “No matter what, I must win this fight because he’s very famous in the United States and in Japan and I want to become a famous fighter. I’m excited, of course. I’m excited to show up for this fight and fight ‘Rampage.’ I can’t wait.”

On his development as a fighter: “I work on a lot of striking stuff and I think it is coming along. I used to be more of a ground fighter but I think my striking is coming along and (I’m) a complete fighter. He has big fists, he has good boxing and good wrestling defense,” he continued. “He also does slams. He is strong physically. He a good fighter. This is a very tough fight. It’s going to be a tough fight for sure.”
