Stefan Struve: I Think I’m Stipe Miocic’s Kryptonite

-Stefan Struve recently spoke at a UFC Fight Night Q&A session before UFC Fight Night 109 (via mmajunkie.com), and he discussed UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. While Struve was complimentary of the champion, he thinks he’s the man that can beat him…

“I think he’s improved a lot. I think he realizes now what he can do in there. I think you’ve got to weather the storm (with Miocic). When I really get comfortable and find my range, then I feel like I’ll get the upper hand if we fight again. … I feel that if I keep him on the outside and just do my thing, then I think I’m his kryptonite.”

Struve and Miocic fought in September 2012 at UFC on Fuel TV 5. Struve actually won the fight by TKO in the second round. However, Miocic would later go on to become a title contender and won the heavyweight title. Struve has currently won his last two fights, and he’s 3-1 in his last four fights overall.
