Thales Leites Thinks a Rematch With Michael Bisping Would Go Differently

MMAjunkie recently interviewed UFC middleweight fighter Thales Leites, who discussed his upcoming UFC Fight Night 100 bout with Krzysztof Jotko. Below are some highlights. The fight is set for November 19 at the Ibirapuera Gymnaisum in Sao Paul, Brazil.

His thoughts on Jotko: “He’s stronger, and he likes ground and pound, but I’m ready for everything, any situation that can happen inside the cage. I will be ready. He’s top 15, if I’m not wrong. He’s coming off four straight wins. Of course he’s a tough opponent, and I’m ready more than ever.”

Leites on a potential rematch with Michael Bisping: “There would be a lot of different things because I’m much more confident. In my mind, I should put much more pressure against the cage and try taking him down more than I did in that fight. But, you know, it happens. Time machines don’t exist. You just keep working to the future, and maybe one day we can face each other again.”

On wanting rematches with opponents who have beaten him before: “I would like a chance for a rematch with all the opponents who beat me, of course. Maybe one day, you know? All I can do is stay working hard and winning my fights. If the time comes one day, I will be ready.”
