The Ultimate Fighter 26 to Crown First UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion

The UFC is set to create a women’s flyweight division, with the first champion to be crowned at The Ultimate Fighter 26. The UFC announced today that the twenty-sixth iteration os the series will be filled through a casting call for women’s flyweights between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-four with a winning record and at least three professional fights. The season will also be open to women on the current UFC roster who can successfully make 125 points throughout the whole of the season.

The previous casting call for women’s strawweights and bantamweights as well as male middleweights that was set for the season has been cancelled. Filming will being in July and premiere on FOX Sports 1 later this year.
