Tim Kennedy Wants Anderson Silva to Replace Rashad Evans At UFC 206

As we previously reported, Rashad Evans will be unable to compete at UFC 206 as he was not medically cleared. Evans will have more screening with a neurologist to prove he can fight and is planning to return in January or February.

However, that leaves Tim Kennedy without an opponent, and he has an idea of who he wants to step up and fight Evans. He wrote on Twitter:

It’s not even the first time this year that Anderson Silva has stepped up on short notice. He agreed to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 on three days notice this past July after Jon Jones failed a drug test. He lost by unanimous decision.

UFC 206 takes place at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on December 10th.
