Tito Ortiz Cited For Misdemeanor Battery in Las Vegas

Tito Ortiz was cited for misdemeanor battery after allegedly getting into a physical alteration with a woman in Las Vegas. TMZ reports that the Bellator fighter was cited after police were called to Cromwell Casino at 1:08 AM on early Friday morning and spoke with a woman who claimed Ortiz tried to take her phone while she was filming a video.

According to the woman, Ortiz “whipped her around” because he thought she was taking pictures of him. She told the site she was “scared for her life.”

Police spoke with both parties, after which Ortiz was cited for misdemeanor battery. His court date will come at a later time. Misdemeanor battery in Las Vegas is the kind that doesn’t result in substantial bodily harm. Ortiz could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.
