Tom Breese’s Manager Explains Why He Was Pulled From UFC Fight Night 107
A welterweight fight between Tom Breese (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and Oluwale Bamgbose (6-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) was pulled from UFC Fight Night 107 after Breese was deemed “unfit” to fight. The fight was set to take place on the preliminary card. The news was announced moments before the broadcast aired by John Gooden and Dan Hardy. In a statement to MMA Junkie, Breese’s manager Graham Boylan explained why he was pulled.
He said: “Tom’s heart rate was very high and the pre-event build up raised it to levels which left him questioning if he was ready to compete tonight.”
It’s unknown if this is a singular incident or a more serious condition that could impact his future in MMA. Boylen added: “I’ll sit down with Tom this week and see where we go from here. Thank you for the support.“
