Tommy Maguire vs Merv Mulholland Added To Cage Warriors 52

MMA Junkie reports that the main card for Cage Warriors 52 is set with a lightweight fight between Tommy Maguire (14-5) and Merv Mulholland (10-4). The event takes place on March 9 at the HMV Forum in London. It will stream live on MMA Junkie after preliminary fights on Facebook.

Maguire is the younger brother of UFC welterweight John Maguire. He previously competed at welterweight on The Ultimate Fighter season 9 but was eliminated. He signed an exclusive deal with Cage Warriors and this will be his debut. He is coming off a loss by decision to Martin Stapleton in December that ended a two-year, five-fight win streak. Out of his fourteen wins, ten were by stoppage. His three more recent wins were by decision.

Meanwhile, Mulholland fought in October for the first time in over a year with a first-round submission win over Daniel Thomas at Cage Warriors 49. He is on a two-fight win streak in Cage Warriors and has five stoppage wins in his past six fights. All ten of his wins have been by stoppage with eight in the first round.
