In an interview with MMA Junkie, Brock Lesnar’s former training partner Tony Ferguson spoke about Lesnar’s upcoming fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200 and seemed very optimistic about Lesnar’s chances. Here are highlights:

On Lesnar’s chance of success: “If he can get his hand speed up a little bit and get his jiu-jitsu going, I think he’ll be alright.”

On Lesnar taking an interest in Ferguson during The Ultimate Fighter 13: “I’m not a mini version of Brock, and he’s not a big version of me, but we have this understanding. I’m from Michigan, and he’s right there (in) Minnesota, South Dakota. … (I could) relate to someone with cauliflower ears walking around.”

On his advice for Lesnar: “I think he needs to hire someone for some jiu-jitsu and some boxing, and he’ll start wrecking fools in the heavyweight division again. I knew he couldn’t stay away.”
