UFC 197 Medical Suspensions: Saint Preux Out Six Months With Broken Arm

The medical suspensions have been announced for UFC 197. MMAjunkie reports that headliners Jon Jones and Ovince Saint Preux are both out for up to 180 days; Jones until he gets cleared via a left foot X-ray and Saint Preux for a broken left ulna.

Also suspended up to 180 days were Serio Pettis, Robert Whittaker, Rafael Natal, Andre Fili, Daniel Roberts, Glaico Franca, Walt Harris and Cody East. The full list of suspensions is below:

* Jon Jones: needs left foot X-rayed and clearance from orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days
* Ovince Saint Preux: needs clearance of broken left ulna by orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 45 days with no contract for 30 days
* Henry Cejudo: suspended 45 with no contract for 30 days
* Anthony Pettis: suspended 30 days with no contract for 21 days for right eyebrow laceration
* Robert Whittaker: needs right hand X-rayed, and if broken, clearance from orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 30 days with no contract for 21 days
* Rafael Natal: needs nasal fracture cleared by doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Andre Fili: needs clearance of left inferior orbital wall fracture by oral, maxillofacial surgeon or ophthalmologist or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Sergio Pettis: needs right hand X-rayed, and if broken, clearance from orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days
* Chris Kelades: suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days for facial abrasions
* Daniel Roberts: needs clearance of left foot by orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 45 days with no contract for 30 days
* Dominique Steele: needs yearly eye examination to follow possibility of glaucoma – due on March 22, 2017
* Juliana Lima: suspended 30 days with no contact for 21 days
* Glaico Franca: needs ophthalmological exam and needs nasal fracture cleared by doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 60 days with no contact for 45 days
* Walt Harris: needs right hand X-rayed, and if broken, clearance from orthopedic doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 30 days with no contact until for 21 days
* Cody East: needs nasal fracture cleared by ear, nose and throat doctor or suspended 180 days; minimum suspension 45 days with no contact for 30 days
* Clint Hester: suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
