UFC 202 Nate Diaz Post-Fight Press Conference Video and Highlights

August 21, 2016 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

The UFC gave Nate Diaz his own post-fight press conference following his close decision loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 202. You can check out a video and highlights from Nate Diaz’s presser below. Diaz stated he doesn’t want to fight again until he gets a third fight with McGregor. The loss makes Diaz and McGregor 1-1 so far.

Diaz on his plans to not fight again until he gets a rubber match with McGregor: “Whenever they’re ready to rock. But I’m not doing (expletive) until we go for round three. You won’t be seeing me until then. If they want to set it up as soon as possible, let’s do it. But I don’t think it’s a very good business move for him to be taking any other fights. He’s a businessman, so let’s see what happens.”

Diaz on being OK with fighting McGregor at lightweight: “I’ve been a lightweight the whole time. I think I walked into the cage tonight probably at 177, 176, 175. (Expletive), maybe lighter. Yeah. Hell yeah. That’s what I wanted this fight at so I could have a six-pack. You know you wanted a picture with a six-pack.”

Diaz on still wanting to get paid more: “It’s still not enough. It’s always going to be more. Always more and more. It’s never going to be enough. Look at my face. You know what I’m saying? And I’m ok. He’s in the back crying somewhere, probably. It’s always going to be more and until people start saying that and representing for that, I don’t even know what you’re doing this for. And if you don’t think like that, you don’t work hard enough. It’s like, I put it on the line. I could have either been here or a retired fighter coaching fighters. I think getting in here and fighting is a good cause for causing a scene and spitting out what I feel I deserve. If you’re not spitting what you feel you deserve and you’re ok with it, then you’re not working hard enough.”
