UFC Makes Women’s Flyweight Championship For TUF 26 Official

After a press release was prematurely issued, it’s now official…The Ultimate Fighter 26 will crown the first UFC women’s flyweight champion. The UFC announced the news on UFC.com on Tuesday.

The new division will be the UFC’s fourth women’s weight class (and twelfth overall). All women on the current roster are eligible to enter the tournament and new fighters between the ages of 21 and 34 with a winning record and at least three professional fights can tryout as well. Tryouts are slated for 8 AM on May 23rd in Las Vegas.
