At a media scrum today, UFC President Dana White spoke with reporters about the future of current Strikeforce fighters and also reigning Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez who might get a lightweight title shot when he comes into the UFC depending on how things go:

White on Melendez coming in and getting a title shot: “(Melendez will) probably come right in and get a title shot. Again, we’ll see.”

White on the horrible year Strikeforce has had and what Strikeforce fighters have gone through: “What has happened to the fighters in Strikeforce is horrible. The way this thing went down is horrible, and they’ve been very patient. What’s happened over there has been completely s—ty…I’m so glad it’s over.”
