UFC Releases Former Top 10 Light Heavyweight Nikita Krylov

February 17, 2017 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

MMAjunkie reports reports that light heavyweight fighter Nikita Krylov, who was recently ranked No. 9 in the official UFC Light Heavyweight Rankings, has been released from his UFC contract. A UFC official confirmed Krylov’s release.

Krylove last fought at UFC 206 last December, losing a fight to Misha Cirkunov by submission in the first round. Krylov went 9-3 overall in the UFC. Interestingly enough, it seems Misha Cirkunov is no longer in the UFC after the win, and Dana White claims Cirkunov “flaked out” on a new deal.

Krylov has now been removed from the latest official rankings on the official website.
