UPDATE: Early Overnight Ratings for UFC on Fox 5
UPDATE: Fox officials have announced some additional early ratings information for the event. UFC on Fox 5 scored a 2.8/5 overnight rating/share per Nielsen Media Research. This is a 65% increase of the rating for UFC on Fox 4.
The main event between Ben Henderson and Nate Diaz averaged a 3.6/7 metered market rating/share from 10:00PM – 10:30PM ET. The co-main event, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Alexander Gustafsson averaged a 2.8/5. BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald averaged a 2.7/5, and Mike Swick vs. Matt Brown scored a 2.4/5.
The national rating for the event will be available later.

For Sunday night, Fox was number one with adults 18-49. CBS had the most total viewers. From the 8-10PM timeslot, UFC on Fox 5: Henderson vs. Diaz got a preliminary 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. The show earned an estimated average of 3.41 million viewers.
This is an improvement over UFC on Fox 3 and 4 which took place in earlier this year and May and August. Those fights averaged 2.4 million viewers. Final numbers for the broadcast will be released later this week which will include overrun and peak ratings. The first UFC on Fox card averaged 5.7 million viewers and got about 9 million viewers for the Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez title fight.
