Alec Baldwin Says He May Bring His Donald Trump to Other Venues
Alec Baldwin has found himself a regular gig playing Donald Trump thanks to Saturday Night Live and now may be taking it to other places as well. Baldwin, an outspoken critic of Trump who has played the President-elect several times on SNL during and since the election, spoke with ABC News and said that he will continue to appear on the Saturday night sketch comedy show “as much as I can” but is also looking at playing him elsewhere.
“There’s discussions about other venues we might pursue to further express our gratitude and admiration for the Trump administration,” Baldwin said, before joking that Trump should get a writing credit considering that much of his dialogue is close to Trump’s real-life words and Twitter posts.
Trump has been notably critical of Baldwin’s portrayal of him and SNL in general, with Baldwin openly antagonizing him on Twitter when he does.
