NME reports that the first names have been announced for the Reading and Leeds festivals in 2013. Alt-J will headline the NME/Radio 1 tent.

Tickets go on sale at 9 AM tomorrow morning. For a limited time until December 31, tickets will be sold at 2012 prices. Organizers are introducing an $80 deposit for 2013, meaning fans can guarantee a spot at the event and pay the full amount before March 31, 2013. The festival will have three new stages.

Festival organizer Melvin Benn said: “There will quite a bit more dance music, quite a bit more other bits and pieces.

This past year’s festival included headlining acts The Cure, Foo Fighters and Kasabian, as well as performances from The Vaccines, Enter Shikari, At The Drive-In, Bombay Bicycle Club, You Me At Six and All Time Low.
