Avenged Sevenfold Recording New Album Next Month

December 20, 2012 | Posted by Joseph Lee

NME reports that Avenged Sevenfold will return to the studio next month to record a follow-up album to 2010’s Nightmare.

M. Shadows said: “This album’s a little more groove orientated. There’s a little bit more groove to it, a little bit more focused on bigger riffs. So that’s where it’s headed – every song has gotta have a huge riff and every song has to have a groove to it.

The band also wrote a new song called “Carry On”, which appears in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and features them as digital characters performing the song over the end credits. Shadows sand the band were really honored to be made into, you know, immortalized on a video game. At the same time, it’s really cool that it’s on the Call Of Duty game ’cause we’re big fans of the game.”
