Beck May Release Two Albums In 2013

December 28, 2012 | Posted by Joseph Lee

NME reports that Beck may release two albums in 2013. Earlier this year he released a 20-track album of sheet music called Song Reader, but he may release two convention albums in the next year.

He said: “There is music and it’s coming!” he says. I have this one record I started in 2008. It got put to the side for a long time but recently I’ve been mixing some of the songs. I’m not sure if they’ll be singles or EPs or an album but it’ll come out in some way and it sounds… sonically adventurous. I also have a record that I recorded last year in Nashville, which I may or may not finish.

His last album, Modern Guilt, was released in 2008. Three new songs were released earlier this year: ‘Cities’, ‘Touch The People’ and ‘Spiral Staircase’. They were written for the Playstation 3 game Sound Shapes. The videos featured footage from the game. Beck also released a Jack White-produced song in May called “I Just Started Hating Some People Today”. It was released through White’s Third Man Records label and features the B-Side ‘Blue Randy’.
