Beyonce’s Super Bowl Performance Causes Sales Surge

Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show and the Destiny’s Child reunion that took place during it has pushed sales of both her solo work and the group’s work through the roof. Billboard reports that Beyonce’s digital album says for the past week jumped over 230%, while Destiny’s Child’s catalog lept over 600%. The latter includes sales of the tro’s new compilation Love Songs which was released last Tuesday.

Both Beyonce’s solo work and Destiny’s Child did see discounting to help boost the sales on iTunes and Amazon, with iTunes selling key titles at $7.99 while Amazon lowered prices to between $5 and $7.99.

Beyonce also saw an 85% rise in digital song sales, while Destiny Child’s rose by over 300%.
