Britney Spears and will.i.am Hit #1 on Global Singles Chart

Britney Spears and will.i.am have topped the global singles chart. MediaTraffic reports that “Scream and Shout” sold 409,000 copies worldwide this week, enough to unseat the US #1 track in Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.” Mars’ single sold 378,000 copies and fell to #2 in its fifteenth week on the global chart.

Coming in at #3 was Taylor Swift with “I Knew You Were Trouble” (321,000 copies sold), up two spots from last week. Rihanna’s “Diamonds” fell two spots to #4 with 321,000 in sales while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Thrift Shop” featuring Wanz was up five spots to #5 with 277,000 sold.
