Bruce Springsteen Says He’s Not Feeling Any Urgency About His Autobiography
Bruce Springsteen says he doesn’t have any sense of urgency to pick back up with writing his autobiography. The rock icon spoke with Grammy.com ahead of tonight’s 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year gala and said that he’s got a lot going on and hasn’t felt the need to get back into the book.
“I got some stuff I’ve worked on, but I don’t have anything fixed,” he said. “I worked on it for a while, then the music came along and the tour came along. There doesn’t seem to be an urgency to return to it at the moment. It’ll present itself and I’ll see what happens.”
He also said he’s recorded an as-yet unreleased country album, saying, “A while back, I recorded a country record and put it aside. I returned to it a couple of months ago and thought, ‘What am I going to do next?'”
