Correction To Story About Britney Spears And Kevin Federline’s Brother
We previously posted a story from Radar Online which said that Kevin Federline’s brother claimed that he was the father of Spears’ oldest son Sean Preston. As it turns out, the story provided to Radar Online was a hoax.
The Smoking Gun reports that convicted felon Jonathan Lee Riches was arrested in Newtown, Connecticut, after going to the city to claim he was the uncle of Sandy Hook Elementary shooter Adam Lanza. He called himself “Jonathan Lanza”.
Riches has filed hundreds of bogus lawsuits against athletes, politicians, musicians, Hollywood stars, and other public figures. He has continued to do so, even while using fake names like “Gino Romano”. He is the man who posed as Selena Gomez’ father and accused Justin Bieber of stealing his credit card and using it to pay for “a penis enlargement”. The lawsuit was brought to the attention of TMZ, who was unaware that it was a fake story from Riches.
He sent the latest Britney Spears story to Radar Online, where it was posted as a front-page story. Radar cited “bombshell court papers” in which they said Christopher Federline accused Spears of stealing his credit card and making $4,500 in charges. The site even quoted an “insider” who said that “Chris says the fling was a mistake. He says he always felt bad about it and kept it to himself because he didn’t want Alisha, his wife at the time, to find out.” The National Enquirer, sister publication of Radar, cited a source that said “when Christopher contacted Britney about the credit card, she ‘just laughed at him,’ and ‘threatened to tell Kevin she and Chris had sex while she was married to Kevin…and tell everyone that.'”
Riches mentioned the “Federline” complaint in a December 19 post on Facebook. He has himself listed as a creative writer for TMZ on his Facebook. The “Federline” lawsuit was filed on December 18 in Tampa and dismissed two days later by Judge Steven Merryday. He mentioned two prior cases filed by “Gino Romano” and named various members of the Kardashian family as defendants.
Riches also filed a suit as a “Jonathan Jolie”, who sued Brad Pitt, John Travolta and the Church of Scientology for assaulting him. He claimed to be Angeline Jolie’s cousin. He wrote that he was “hiding at the Italian Embassy in New York for protection and I’m wearing a mask.” Including as an exhibit of the lawsuit is a msked man in a kitchen, holding a February 2003 mug shot of Jonathan Lee Riches.
