Dave Grohl Says The Foo Fighters Will Start Working On A New Album This Week
NME reports that Dave Grohl has said at the Brit Awards that the Foo Fighters will begin work on a new album this week.
He was promoting his documentary Sound City and played a show with the Sound City Players at the Kentish Town Forum in London on Tuesday. Last night at the Brit awards, while speaking to host James Corden, he said: “I return to Los Angeles tomorrow to start work on a Foo Fighters record.“
During an appearance at the Leeds Festival in 2012, he made claims that Foo Fighters had to wait a long time for the next album. Last night, Grohl only said the album will be released “eventually”.
He previously hinted at his “awesome plans” for the album. He added: “We have a plan, we know exactly what’s coming next and I have the music for the next record and we’re going to start working on it once we finish doing all this stuff. We have really awesome, big plans for the next album and I’m really excited about it.“
Their last album, Wasting Light was released in 2011.
