NME reports that Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players performed in London last night just a day after the premiere of the documentary Sound City. The band included the regular touring members of Foo Fighters, Rick Springfield, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, Fear singer Lee Ving, singer and producer Chris Goss, Queens Of The Stone Age collaborator Alain Johannes and Grohl’s former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic.

Ving said that this was his first time performing in the UK. Grohl told fans they were in for a “marathon”. The set ran for two and a half hours.
