Drake Fires Back in Lawsuit from Neighboring Nightclub Investors Over the Infamous Brawl
TMZ reports that the rapper Drake is claiming he can’t be held responsible for how the media portrayed the nightclub next door to the club where he was present during a bloody brawl in New York City.
Drake was previously sued by Entertainment Enterprises for $16 million. Entertainment Enterprises claimed their reputation took a sharp decline after the fight which involved Chris Brown at W.i.P. nightclub last June. Entertainment Enterprises does not own the club but has a huge financial stake in another nightclub called Greenhouse which is located in the same building. They claim they lost millions due to the bad press.
Drake says he is not responsible for how the media portrayed either club. He also said Greenhouse’s rep was sin the toilet long before he set foot through the door. Drake specifically stated that the NY times talked about the club having “a history of violence and other problems.” The rapper also claimed the club was almost shut down in 2011 by the NYPD and had its liquor license previously suspended due to “a string of violent incidents.”
Drake is asking a judge to dismiss the case.
