Eagles Documentaries To Premiere On Showtime On February 15 and 16

Billboard reports that two documentaries on The Eagles will premiere on Showtime in mid-February. History of the Eagles, Part One will debut on February 15 while Part Two will air the next day.

The Eagles and Showtime will make the official announcement today at the Sundance Film Festival. Part One will have its world premiere tonight at Sundance with Don Henley, Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit in attendance.

Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) produced with Alison Ellwood (Magic Trip) directing. Part One covers the band’s early years and their breakup in 1980. Part Two looks at Henley and Frey’s solo years and the reunion, also mentioning Walsh’s sobriety. Gibney and Ellwood will do a Q&A after the premiere of the film at the Eccles Theater.
