Flaming Lips Unveil New Album Details, Super Bowl Commercial
Billboard reports that the new album from the Flaming Lips The Terror is set for an April 2 release date from Warner Bros. Records.
The band announced that fans will be able to hear a new song, “Sun Blows Up Today” as the music bed in a TV commercial that will make its debut during the Super Bowl on February 3. The commercial will also feature the band on-camera.
The new album was produced by their longtime collaborated David Fridmann and will include nine new songs on its standard edition. A release describes the new disc as darker than previous works and challenges listeneres’ emotional thresholds.
The Flaming Lips will also be performing at Lollapalooza Brazil in Sao Paulo on March 29. Here is the full track list for The Terror:
