Frank Ocean’s Producer Gives His Side of the Chris Brown Brawl
TMZ reports that the music producer for Frank Ocean, Michael Uzowuru, is claiming that Chris Brown and his hired muscle tried to seriously beat Ocean during their controversial brawl.
According to Uzowuru, the issue did start over a parking spot. He, Frank, and a person named Chito arrived at the Westlake Studios at night to record. They then saw an orange Lamborghini parked in the spot labeled “Frank.” Uzowuru told the front desk to move the car and were then informed it belonged to Chris Brown. Brown then allegedly came out 10 minutes later with a “big dude” and a “skinnier dude,” and then Frank apparently told Brown, “You parked in my spot, move.” And things got worse from there.
Uzowuru then says the big guy then punched Chito in the face for no reason and added, “Then instantly Chris and the other dude grab [Frank] and try to jump him. There’s no doubt in my mind the whole thing was a set up.” Uzowuru also says the bigger guy continued to pound on Chito while Chris and the other bodyguard tackled Frank and sent him crashing into a “big fake candle display laced with glass. Hence … his finger being cut.”
Then he says Brown’s friend cornered Frank and pinned him against a while “while Chris was trying to beat the living “s**t” out of [him].” He says Frank fought back by throwing elbows and punches of his own. Events get hazy for Uzowuru after that, but he ended his story by saying, “I don’t know what type of demons Chris is facing, but I hope he clears them all and finds a new life rooted in love and light.”
Frank Ocean recently stated he’s not pressing charges against Chris Brown.
