November 21, 2012 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

Rolling Stone reports that Green Day have announced their plans for the release of ¡Quatro!, the fourth installment in their ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tre! series.

¡Quatro! is a behind-the-scenes documentary, directed by Tim Lynch, and it is set to premiere next year. Highlights from the movie will be shown at midnight on VH1 in the US on November 28.

The film takes a look at the band’s process behind their album trilogy as well as showing footage from the band’s US shows.

Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt says: “¡Quatro! brings our fans one step closer by giving them even more access and revealing what it was like for us to make these records.”

Green Day recently had to cancel their scheduled live appearances for the rest of 2012 and early 2012 when frontman Billie Joe Armstrong checked into rehab.

Their albums ¡Uno! and ¡Dos! are out now. ¡Tre! will be out next on December 10.
