Justin Bieber Tells Off Fan Who Insisted on a Selfie Against His Wishes
Most people, when turned down on a request for a photograph with a celebrity, realize what’s what and back down. Justin Bieber’s fans…often times, not so much. Bieber ended up in headlines after he told off a young female fan who came up to him in Melbourne, Australia to get a selfie with him and continued to take it even after Bieber asked her not to.
According to the Herald Sun, Bieber stepped outside of a car in the city when the fan, twenty-year-old Sebah Helal, ran up to him and said she was going to take the selfie. Bieber told Helal, “You’re invading my privacy. I don’t want a photo.”
Helal said she knew Beiber didn’t want to take the picture but added, “I told him, I was going to take the photo anyway.” When she began snapping pictures, Bieber said, “Look at you, you make me sick.”
Helal’s mother said that her daughter was devastated, telling the outlet, “My daughter was bawling her eyes out. She was dying to meet him and then he humiliated her,” she said. “After years of supporting him, my daughter will never see him again in concert.”
Bieber has been vocal about his desire not to take pictures with fans in public anymore, having written in an Instagram post last month, “I’m done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognise me as a human. It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognise me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.”
