Kelly Clarkson And PSY To Perform At American Music Awards
Billboard reports that Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, PSY, The Wanted and Swizz Beatz featuring Chris Brown and Ludacris have all joined the lineup for the 40th annual American Music Awards on Sunday, November 18.
The lineup already includes Justin Bieber, Usher, No Doubt, Ke$ha, P!nk, Taylor Swift, Nick Minaj, Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Pitbull and Linkin Park. More acts are yet to be announced.
This year’s event will have a new category for electronic dance music. There will also be awards inpop/rock, country, rap/hip-hop, soul/R&B, alternative, adult contemporary, Latin and contemporary inspirational. Rihanna and Minaj lead the nominations with four each.
Other artists with multiple nominations include Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher (3 each), as well as Underwood, Chris Brown, fun., Gotye, J. Cole, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan and Pitbull (2 each).
Winners will be decided by online voting for the sixth year in a row. The show will air on ABC live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles at 8 PM ET/PT.
