Latest On Lil’ Wayne’s Rock Album

May 11, 2009 | Posted by Ashish

Another track from Lil’ Wayne’s often delayed rock album, Rebirth, has leaked onto the ‘net. The track is titled “Fix My Hat” and was produced by Drew Money. Money has produced past hits like “Hello Brooklyn 2.0″ for Jay-Z and “Down” for Chris Brown.

Money talked to Billboard about the song, saying it was inspired by the Beastie Boys and that it is one of the few non-rock songs on the album.

“I wanted to give him something old school-sounding, but with new elements in it like synths and 808s and snares. I wanted raw imagery, and if you listen to Beastie Boys’ first album, ‘License To Kill,’ you’ll know what mind state I was in when creating it. I just wanted something simplistic but with a complex element in the hook.”

The album is due out June 23rd.
