Metallica Bassist’s Twelve Year-Old Son to Join Korn on Tour
Korn’s new touring bassist probably won’t be out late celebrating…he likely has homework. The nu metal band has announced on Facebook that Tye Trujillo, the twelve year-old son of Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, will be playing bass for them on their upcoming tour.
The band noted that regular bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu is unable to join them on the road “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Tye Trujillo plays in a band known as The Helmets and will be performing for seven dates with Korn in South America, including shows in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Peru.
Arvizu will rejoin the band for their US tour, which kicks off on May 6th. You can see video of the younger Trujillo performing below.
