Nicki Minaj Skips Scheduled Performance After DJ Disses Her

Nicki Minaj walked out of a scheduled performance at a New Jersey concert Sunday after a radio personality dissed her latest single. Billboard reports that Minaj was supposed to perform starting at 9:30 PM at the Hot 97 Summer Jam 2012 at MetLife Stadium, but she left after Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg called her song “Starships,” which is currently on the charts, “wack” to the Summer Jam crowd.

Soon after he did, Lil Wayne, who is Minaj’s Young Money boss, posted on Twitter:

Young Money ain’t doing summer jam.

Tyga, who is part of Young Money, did go through with his set at 7:00 PM, but Nicki posted on Twitter soon after:

Wow. U n—az just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB

I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes.

Rosenberg commented on Twitter as well, posting:

Tonight just got interesting g

J. Cole and Young Jeezy reportedly lengthened their Summer Jam set times to make up for Minaj’s absence.
