One Direction Heading to Top of Billboard 200 Chart With Take Me Home
Billboard reports that Take Me Home by One Direction is headed for the number 1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200 chart. The song is expected to boast a huge sales figure.
Industry sources are predicting 500,000 copies sold by the end of the week on Sunday, November 18. The best-case scenario sees the album shifting up to 575,000.
This would be third-largest sales week of 2012 after Taylor Swift’s 1.2 million bow with Red and the 600,000 unit launch for Mumford & Sons with Babel.
Their previous album Up All Night was the first time a UK group hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 with their debut album. The album has currently 1.35 million sold.
Other albums set to top the charts this week are Green Day’s Dos, Christina Aguilera’s Lotus, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2 soundtrack, the Weekend’s Trilogy, and Lana Del Rey’s Paradise.
