Outkast To Reunite For Remix Of Frank Ocean Song

January 3, 2013 | Posted by Joseph Lee

NME reports that Big Boi and Andre 3000 will reunite as Outkast on a remix of the Frank Ocean song “Pink Matter”.

The song appears on Ocean’s album Channel Orange, and Andre 3000 is already on the original track. Big Boi wrote on his blog that he is working on a remix and posted a photo of the lyrics he is writing. He later wrote on Twitter that Ocean wanted both Outkast members to appear on the song but Andre 3000 was against it. He added: “[He] didn’t want an OutKast Record Coming out on anybody else’s LP.

He also wrote on Twitter that he will appear on a remix of T.I.’s song “Sorry”, which also features Andre 3000.

Outkast’s last album was in 2006. The two worked on the song “Royal Flush” in 2008 (which also featured Raekwon) and “Lookin For Ya” in 2010. The “Pink Matter” remix is out next week.
