Rick Ross has released a new track in which he fires off shots at Birdman. Complex reports that the Maybach Music head has released a track titled “Idols Become Rivals” in which he takes aim at the Cash Money mogul. The new track comes off the international versions of Ross’ album Rather You Than Me; you can listen to it at Genius.com.

The song opens with a spoken-word intro by Chris Rock before Ross comes in and talks about being disillusioned with Birdman and how he used to look up to him until he realised that the other man wasn’t all he seemed:

“And then I met you out on LiveNation dates
Came to the realization that your watch was fake
Damn… you nearly broke my heart
I really thought you n****s really owned them cars”

The track goes on to reference Birdman’s legal war with Lil Wayne among other things. TMZ reports that Birdman is angry over the track, believing it to be a cheap publicity stunt.
