Simon Cowell Plans To Sign Emblem3 When The X Factor Is Over
Simon Cowell plans to sign Emblem3 to a contract when The X Factor is over, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That is even if the band do not win the $5 million prize.
The band plan to reveal more original material after the competition. Cowell has told them to stick with mainstream songs for their performances on the show, even if the band have been compared to One Direction.
When asked if he would sign them to his label even if they don’t win, Cowell said: “I think there’s a pretty good chance. I’m not going to let anyone else get them. There’ll be some pretty big announcements at the end of the show.“
He didn’t reveal any plans for his other group Fifth Harmony, but said he would continue to “back both of them”.
Wesley Stromberg, Keatin Stromberg and Drew Chadwick responded to what Cowell said on Thursday after the tapingof the show. Wesley said: “That makes me feel very good. He’s probably got his poker face on. He just wants us to focus on what’s going on so he’s probably not telling us that on purpose but this is awesome. That’s super cool. We’re probably gonna do better now actually, that’s motivation.“
Meanwhile, Chadwick revealed what their debut album will sound like. He said: “We want it to be like the last Sublime album that was ever released.”
Wesley added: “The one with Bradley [Norwell].“
Then Keaton chimed in and said they “want it to be as real as possible.”
When asked about what they would do next week, they joked that they would “sing songs ” and do some “interpretive dance.”
