Tulisa Claims She Wrote Part of Will.i.am’s “Scream & Shout”

According to a report from The Sun, Tulisa is suing Will.i.am for publishing royalties and she also claims she wrote part of his track “Scream & Shout” with Britney Spears.

Tulisa claims she wrote the song for Jean Baptiste, friend and producer of Will.i.am before Will.i.am recorded his own version of the track with Britney Spears. A source states: “Tulisa is still fuming with Will for taking the song off her. The fact the song blew up only makes it worse. She’s well within her right to claim some of the publishing money. If she proves the words are hers, she could get a huge pay-out.”

Tulisa claims she wrote the lyric, “When you hear this in the club, you’d better turn this s*** up.” The track was originally called “I Don’t Give A F***,” and was due to appear on her debut album The Female Boss. The album was a flop.

Tulisa aims to be listed as a co-writer on the track and receive a royalty payout. The song has been a global smash hit for Will.i.am and Britney Spears.
