UPDATED: [AUDIO] Madonna Says Her Daughter Does Appear On MDNA
Update: Here is the song “Superstar”, which features Madonna’s daughter Lourdes providing background vocals.
Original: Madonna says her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes provides backing vocals on her upcoming MDNA album, specifically the song “Superstar”. The album will be released on March 26.
Madonna said: “She’s my background singer. She just came over to the studio that day. Then I said, ‘Oh, can you sing this part?’ and she agreed to. She has a very good voice. She’s quite shy about it and won’t admit it. Lots of people are knocking on my door to meet her about everything, movies and what-not. But she’s not really interested in any of it. She just wants to go to school. She says to me, ‘Mum, I just want to be a normal kid. I’m not ready for any of that’. I respect that, and if she ever wants to work with me on any level I welcome it. But otherwise I leave her to her homework and school.”
Madonna, who has three other kids (Rocco, 12, David, 6 and Mercy, 5) admitted that being a single working mom sometimes makes her feel like her “head is going to explode”. She added: “I’m not going to lie — it’s hard work having four kids and doing all the work I do.”
She finally discussed her split with Guy Ritchie. She said: “Sometimes I cope with it very well, sometimes it’s a struggle.“
