Around 5 AM, Fort Lauderdale police received multiple calls from residents who heard shots fired near Las Olas Blvd. and 15th Ave. Police say that two people were in the Rolls Royce headed east when another car approached and fired several shots. The driver attempted to get away and slammed the car into a residential apartment building on 15th Avenue. No one was injured in the attack.
Police are looking for the people behind the shooting but haven’t released any information about them or their car. They are not releasing the names of the victims, but an employee at a diner said that Ross and a woman were in the Rolls Royce at the time. Ross was said to be shaken up after the shooting. The owner of a nearby business also said it was Ross. He said Ross recently bought a home in the area.
