411’s Holy Foley! Report 1.4 – ‘History Comes Alive’

-On to episode 4 as we continue to follow members of the Foley family to varying degrees while mainly focusing on Noelle and her WWE aspirations. Perhaps we get back to Dewey in this one.

-We start straight at a WWE Event with Ric Flair and Mick Foley meeting in the arena before the show. Foley wants to pick Ric’s mind for some advice. He puts over Flair as the greatest wrestler of all time and goes over the bad blood the two have had. They discuss how it is a competitive business, and Foley says that with all they have been through, Ric is the only one that understands with he is going through. Mick says there is a great deal of respect between the two now and that the one thing they bonded over was family.

-Mick asks if Charlotte asked for permission to get into the business, and Ric says no. He says that Charlotte was making great money as a personal trainer and then just decided to get into the wrestling business. Ric says what most others have told him, if his daughter wants to do it then she will do it no matter what he says. Mick asks if Noelle can meet Charlotte (aw, a play date!) and Ric is grinning from ear to ear as he says that she can.

-Time to work on Noelle’s cardio as Mick has her running next to his minivan ,“Ol Russ.” Mick makes sure to note that he and Collete have had sex in the van. Mick is proud of the way her cardio is advancing and wants her to start visualizing a wrestling persona. He also thinks they need to watch all the Rocky movies for inspiration. Noelle wants to play off Foley’s three characters and he tells her to come up with something on her own. She wants to be The Wild Woman and Mick thinks that would be fine. She then says she could be a dog lover and bring dogs with her to the ring and Mick looks sick at that idea. Probably having Kennel in a Cell flashbacks. Mick tells Noelle that she has someone special in her life that is amazing at playing characters (obviously meaning himself) and Noelle obviously thinks of Frank The Clown!

-Back to the Foley home, and Collete is getting creepy with her dolls. Dewey drops in finally, and mentions that he is going to be moving out by the end of the week. He thinks it is necessary due to the travel to Titan Towers and he also wants to get away from the dolls. His mom gives him a doll as a house warming gift, as she is more than ok with him moving. Dewey then breaks the news to the other boys that he is leaving. Hughie is rocking an n.W.o shirt and he says it is both good and bad to see Dewey go. He will miss his brother, but he goes off on a list of things that Dewey did to him in the past. Okay then!

-Romance time as Frank (without makeup) and Noelle are outside on the swing set discussing her persona. Frank is absolutely horrible with his idea and wants her to be a “silent giant,” whatever that is. Noelle wants no part of it and wants to tap into her hardcore roots.

-Collete and Mick share some pillow talk as they discuss Dewey moving. Mick is also okay with it as to him it is just see you later this weekend as he is only moving 90 minutes away. Mick has a surprise for Dewey as he is going to give him “Ol Russ.” Mick plays up how important it is to the family and how Dewey will probably get emotional. Probably not!

-Noelle tells Mick that Frank sucked at giving advice so she finally breaks and wants to get advice from dad. Mick brings up Noelle’s best friend Megan, who I guess she hated at first in pre-school. It seems that Noelle wanted to shit on her eyebrows, and that is where this conversation goes. Seriously? Mick wants her to bring out the inner eye brow pooper. I have no words at this point!

-Thankfully we move on as Charlotte and Noelle have their play date. Noelle asks what NXT is like and Charlotte says it is intense. The hardest struggle is the fact that you are the daughter of a legend and that means you have to work harder. Charlotte says Ric never helped her train and didn’t see her wrestle until he was ringside to see her face Nattie in NXT. He wanted her to learn the business on her owsn, and told her not to tarnish the “Flair” name. Noelle realizes how lucky she is that her father is there to help her along the way.

-Moving day as Dewey packs up and everyone helps except the other 2 boys. They decide to play basketball and they both suck. Dewey is wearing a “KO” shirt and he reads a note from his dad (who can’t be there) saying that he left a gift for him in the garage. He is hoping it is a brand new car, but instead it is “Ol Russ.” Shockingly, Dewey doesn’t want it and pines that his dad’s idea of a great gift is re-gifting a mini-van. They all say goodbye and send Dewey on his way.

-Mick comes home and asks what all he missed. Collete tells him just Dewey leaving, and breaks the news that Dewey hated the gift. Mick is genuinely hurt, but says to each his own and looks on the bright side: he gets to keep “Ol Russ.”

-Field trip time as Mick takes Noelle to the WWE Warehouse to see history come alive. Mick tells some bad coffin related jokes and then Mick grabs the Gobbledy Gooker head and we cover that story. He debuted the same night as Taker and Mick calls Taker the greatest character ever and Gooker the worst ever. Next they find Mick’s Dude Love pants that he worse against Austin. Following that they bring out the original WWE Woman’s Title that was held by The Fabulous Moolah. That is pretty cool actually, and Mick tells her to look at it as the ultimate reward. Mick covers him winning the WWE Title and how he gave a shout-out to his kids on TV right after winning it.

-On to the Hell in a Cell structure next and Mick gets emotional talking about it. Mick says it changed his life as he thinks of his career is 2 stages now: pre-cell and post-cell. Noelle says she hated how much pain her dad went through in that match and things get serious as Mick breaks down looking at the cell. He admits it could have been his last match and really his last night ever with the chances he took. Noelle nearly starts crying as well as she hugs her dad.

-Now they head to a ring that is set-up and it is Noelle’s first time inside a WWE ring with her dream of being a wrestler. It is inspiring to her as she can see herself in the ring with the WrestleMania sign hanging above as the crowd chants “Foley.” We end with that inspirational moment!

-Next time Noelle gets a training session at the Performance Center with Sasha and Becky.
