411’s TNA Impact Report 10.13.16

Eddie Edwards is our NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Hello once again my name is Aaron this is 411’s Official Impact Wrestling Report. We are a week out from a surprising world title change, and we will discover just who will be the man to step up and make the first challenge to the belt held by new Champion Eddie Edwards.

TNA President Billy Corgan has made his intentions known, he has forced Lashley into a corner, and also made a special title match as tonight Marshe Rockett will take on DJZ for the X-Division Title. In addition, Corgan has stipulated yes Maria will get her title rematch, but if she loses here tonight she will no longer be head of the Knockouts Division. All this and the first ever meeting of “The Miracle” Mike Bennett and Cody as they step into the six sided ring.

It has been a heated week for all things Impact, so go all out in the comment section and enjoy the show.

Opening Segment Talky Time: Eddie Edwards

“YOU DESERVE IT”

Chants ring out across the Impact Zone as the fans are very happy to see perrenial fan favorite Eddie Edwards hold high the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Eddie mentions his fourteen year career, and announces his ascension to the top of TNA Wrestling.

He isn’t the biggest, most athletic, but he never gave up on his dream. This is the kind of champion – a fighting one he will face anyone anywhere. He will not run or hide, he will represent Impact and you will have to kill him to take his belt.

Lashley, he has proven he can beat you he will do it again.

“Domination” kicks up as Lashley has been summoned. And he gives FUCKS!

BRAWL!!

Lashley attacks Edwards, choking him and throwing Eddie over his shoulder! Lashley demands a Referee as he pummels our World Champion, he has a chair and here comes MOOSE AND EC3!

They make the save but the damage has been done.

Up next, Aron Rex defends against Jesse Godderz!

Backstage, Aiden O’Shea refuses a Tribunal request to see Billy Corgan. He instigates a bit, telling them if they want to be noticed, go do something noteworthy.

Billy Corgan is talking with JB, and he is annoyed at the actions of Lashley. He says not with him in charge, Lashley plays by his rules and will not be rewarded tonight with a title match. In fact, he’s lost his claim to a title rematch, if he wants it he has to earn it again.

Aron Rex (c) vs Jesse Godderz

Grand Championship Title Match

Round 1:

Aron Rex and Jesse Godderz grapple and battle with an even-sided contest, taking breaks in the ropes and trading locks and counters. Rex manages to keep the vertical base but Jesse uses his power advantage to help out.

Judges: Jesse Godderz 30 to Aron Rex 27

Round 2:

Jesse stays in control, but Rex manages a pin attempt. He is still fighting defensively, but Godderz stays in control and works in the Adonis Crab, but Rex counters. Jesse is finally successful but Rex fights to the ropes. Jesse is on top for the pin, no.

Godderz applies the top armbar, Rex reverses into a wristlock, they trade elbow shots but Jesse remains in control!

Judges: Jesse Godderz 30, Aron Rex 27

Round 3:

Godderz immediately goes for a waistlock and is in control, but Rex knows he’s lost if it gets to the judges. He goes outside as Jesse holds the ropes to beckon him in. Lockup, Jesse again for the go behind, but Rex sends Jesse in for the ride and clocks him with a forearm.

Rex sits on the second rope to offer the entrance in and KICKS Rex!

Lashley goes to enter Corgan’s office, but Aiden blocks him. Lashley says he is going to make examples tonight of the Impact Roster.

The Broken Brothers make it clear that Nero has repaid his debt to Matt, in their capture of the World Tag Team Titles. However Matt in his brilliance is not done, as they will be heading to the Impact Zone, next.

Maria screams at Allie because she didn’t tell her her entourage are banned from ringside in tonight’s match against Gail Kim.

Backstage Lashley tells a surprised Ethan Carter III and Moose he will face the winner of their match in tonight’s main event.

The Broken Hardys are the Champions of all Space and Time

Matt throws out the challenge to the Day of the New and the Bucks of Youth, they said they are the greatest champions of all space and time. Nero and Matt declare they will DELETE all other tag teams and Broken Matt has a Premoneetion!

He states their challengers will make themselves known tonight!

Nero and Matt trade chants until the Tribunal rush in to attack! H-BOMB on Matt and kick to the groin of Nero! Basile and Baron have made their impact on the Champions!

Cody vs Miracle promo video, Bennett accuses Cody of skating on his family name to get his world title shot, and says all roads lead nowhere. Cody says he isn’t a real miracle, all this hyperbole is only smoke and mirrors. Bennett shouldn’t have been surprised to see him, he knew he was on the list. Mike says Cody came in on his time and picked this fight, and he has had enough. Cody says perhaps nepotism helped his entrance, but he has earned everything since he was fifteen and they will find out when they step into the ring.

Cody vs The Miracle

Brandi and Maria lead their men out, as the fans in Orlando are cheering out Cody. They both to go the center, staredown as the fans duel with chants. Both go to attack, and trade slams.

Cody gets a quick springboard sunset flip for two, but misses a Beautiful Disaster Kick! Double Jump Crossbody over the top clears out Miracle!

Bennett sends him over the railing, Cody tries to leap off the railing but Cody gets kicked across the railing and the elevated DDT into the floor from Bennett!

Miracle rolls in for the ten count, as the fans chant on for Cody to recover. He finally rolls in but Bennett is on the attack with stomps and kicks.

Kickout by Cody, Miracle works the chinlock.

Cody gets hit with a dropkick!

Cover only gets a two.

Bennett runs around the side and nails the KO punch!

Miracle once again back to the headlock as Maria paces around and distracts us all. Excellent outfit choice once again from the former Playboy model.

Hard Irish Whip and a charging clothesline!! Miracle misses flying lariats and Cody ALABAMA! Slam!

BEAUTIFUL DISASTER CONNECTS!

Bennett tries to rise as Cody grabs the head, but is driven back into the turnbuckles! Miracle eats a back elbow, MOONSAULT FROM CODY MISSED!

Cody takes a kick, PEDIGREE FROM BENNETT!

1! 2!! NOO!!!

Miracle channeling the former boss of Cody, Triple H and Bennett gets knocked off the top by Cody, Cody up and pounding as both stand on the buckles, TOP ROPE SUPERPLEX!

Cody is finally able to get over and has the leg- looking for his new American Nightmare, Reverse Figure no kicked off!

Haymakers from Mike and Cody answers back! Slugfest going on and Miracle misses, has the head and CROSS RHODES!!

Moose talks shit, stating he can beat anyone with the Gamebreaker, reviews his football career and promises to win tonight in our main event.

DJZ vs Marshe Rockett

X-Division Title Match

Marshe Rockett cuts a promo stating the X-Division hasn’t seen anything like him before. He is here to represent the new, the future and he is coming for the title.

DJZ enters the ring and plays a cat and mouse game with the larger, 6’2 Rockett. Rockett battles with tosses and throws, but DJZ outmaneuvers him by avoiding the dives and strikes, coming back with a spring off the buckles to attack Rockett.

Marshe throws him into the corner and charges but DJZ comes back to send the man outside and hits a flip dive!

Rockett eventually recovers by launching DJZ into the apron with a massive suplex! He nearly defeats Z but Z flies off the buckles to strike the aerial attack! He hits a rolling jawbreaker to send the big man backwards.

DJZ goes for the ZDT but is thrown off and LEVELED with the leg lariat!

Marshe Rockett lunges for him but Z avoids the flying avalanche, and hits the roll into the leaping dive to wrap the DDT and secure his title belt!

Backstage Bennett is furious, blaming TNA once again but tells Maria he will have her back in her title match next. Allie says she wasn’t allowed to but she didn’t mention he too is banned from ringside. The Bennetts seethe with rage as Allie runs away, and Bennett tries to give his wife a pep talk.

Knockouts Title Match

If Maria loses, she is no longer in charge of the KO’s

Maria tries to run away and Gail chases her up the ramp! She finds a laundry style garbage cart and throwing Maria inside, runs it down the aisle and into the post! Gail dumps her over!

They go back into the ring and beat on each other with weapons, as Gail seems to stay ahead of Maria at most angles. The fans are clearly on Gail’s side, as Madison Rayne in the commentary booth puts over the Knockouts wanting Maria to lose so she isn’t in charge anymore.

Maria nails the spinebuster! Gail kicks out!

Maria goes to the fans and yells as they are cheering Gail! Maria throws Gail down on the back of her head, Maria steps on Gail’s neck, yelling to the fans!

She slams the trash can lid across Gail but Gail gets it back and smashes the lid into Maria! Off the side and clothesline! STINGER SPLASH!

Gail up top misses the high cross body, Maria with the kendo stick, the fans are booing!

CANES across her back! Slashes the cane into Gail and rushes into her but Gail wraps the head and nails Eat Defeat!

1! 2!

NO GAIL pulls her up!

EAT DEFEAT WITH THE TRASH CAN LID!

Ethan Carter III states he wants to congratulate Eddie Edwards- and E Li Drake walks in saying yeah he bet it hurt but look at Ethan Choker on his way to getting another title shot yet again. Carter yells at him to press the button so he can unload some whup ass, but Drake says just worry about not choking.

Cody meets with Eddie Edwards, and defines him as Mr. Anything Can Happen. Eddie says yes and he’s hurting, but he looks forward to his fight with Cody. Cody reminds him anything can happen, and tells the trainer to make sure Edwards is good for their title match next week.

DCC Promo: They state they are not anti-authoritarian. They are three men in white masks, ties and hoodies, and they flash out before showing a quick quote.

Ethan Carter III vs Moose

Winner faces Lashley for a title shot

Moose piefaces Ethan in the corner and gets his crowd taunt. Ethan follows back with a headlock, hops and leapfrogs but misses the 1 Percenter and avoids the Gamebreaker. They go to slapping each other across the chest, but Carter goes low with a dropkick to the knee.

MOOSE dropkicks Ethan from the ring!

He misses a dive to land on the apron, and Ethan pulls his legs out!

Ethan pounds on Moose from the floor, snapmare into top shoulder lock. Ethan tries to wear the bigger man down, but Moose makes it to the ropes and eats the elbow to the jaw.

Ethan crashes the clothesline into Moose and slams the suplex!

Both men on the floor, Carter runs into a jumping boot!

MOOSE HITS THE F5 ONTO THE APRON!

Ethan on the top but MOOSE STANDING DROPKICKS HIM FROM THE MAT!

ETHAN MISSILE DROPKICK OFF THE TOP!!

Chop-Uppercut-Jab & Taunt Battle followed up by a Moose Pop Up Powerbomb & Senton combination!

Ethan hits the TK3! Clothesline into Moose! Again! Jawbreaker!

Ethan Moose Taunt and EC3 SPLASH! FLAPJACK!!

1 Percenter no!

MOOSE HITS THE GO TO HELL OFF THE BUCKLES!

Ethan is rising, Moose for the Game Breaker EC3 almost has a backslide!

1 PERCENTER! NO!!

GAMEBREAKER TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!!

“Domination” kicks up over the PA System as LASHLEY walks out of the back, going face to face with Moose.
