411’s TNA Impact Report 11.18.15

November 18, 2015 | Posted by Aaron Scott

This is Week Seven as the TNA World Title Series continues! Last week, EC3, Matt Hardy and Gail Kim qualified for the Round of 16. Mandrews, Eddie Edwards, Mr. Anderson, Crimson and Madison Rayne were eliminated from Group Play. Tonight, the main event sees Bobby Roode take on Abyss, and Eric Young face off with “The Cowboy” James Storm as all four TNA Originals clash in must-win matches. Awesome Kong will wrestle Brooke in a do or die situation. Eli Drake and Mahabali Shera can cement themselves in the next round with victories over Crimson and Aiden O’Shea, respectively. And Manik can put Tigre Uno out of the Series with a win against the X-Division Champion. Plus, Matt Hardy and Ethan Carter III go face to face in a Crossfire segment. My name is Aaron Scott, this is the 411 TNA Impact Report. Match times are not exact, the card is subject to change, here are words from King of the Mountain Champion Bobby Roode as he takes on “The Monster” Abyss, and because it’s near my hometown of the beautiful Saint Augustine, take a look at Elijah Burke aka The Pope’s latest efforts to help out local non-profits here in Jacksonville, Florida. See you at at 9!

Let’s fuckin go tonight bitches. Kong and Roode in action plus the last of the James Storm matches in TNA. Unless you know, for some reason they wanted to use some of the former Kurt Angle’s Money to RESIGN JAMES STORM. Or AJ Styles in January.

Awesome Kong vs Brooke

World Title Series Match – Group Knockouts

Well Brooke they can let go, I think she’s done everything she can for awhile. We cover how Brooke and Kong arrived to their juncture at this point here. Kong misses the grab but Brooke tries to taunt Kong and sure yeah, rile her up.

Kong tosses her across the ring. So Brooke throws the screaming flurry, and Kong absorbs it, says mine in regards to Brooke’s broken fingers. Kong slams the arm on the back, and stands on the hand to make Brooke roll around and scream a bit. “Let’s Go Brooke” is chanted, instead of “Stay Down Brooke” which would be much more helpful.

So Brooke flips Kong off with the double bird. And that got her a kicking.

This is just a drawn out beating. I mean yeah, some forearms, but finally a drop toehold into a guillotine choke with a rollover into a bridge works for a few seconds. Brooke eventually hit the Butterface Maker, then a Butterface maker off the second rope but Kong countered a back suplex and that was pretty much it. Implant Buster and that’s it.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Awesome Kong at 5:14, Implant Buster

Awesome Kong has six, Brooke has three. Awesome Kong has qualified and advanced, Brooke is eliminated.

Tonight, Eric Young vs James Storm. Here is last week’s EY promo on Storm, and a new Young on Storm coming up tonight. Here’s from the last time they faced in brutal bloody death:

Crossfire: ECIII vs Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy is on and he puts over his tag team specialist group. EC3 says he’s lucky the dividing line exists or he’d whup him good. A true world champion wouldn’t be in the tag team group. Hardy is nothing and it ain’t over till he wins. Pope asks who they want to face. Hardy says it really has to be EC3. No controversy and that will prove he’ll take the streak away period.

Josh asks them a stupid question, because Matt is the odds on favorite right nope Ethan Carter III interrupts and says he’s the undefeated one, he will set fire to this tournament and walk away and watch it burn, just like the interview, he has never been pinned, never submitted, won the world championship and he lost it due to conspiracy and he screams at Hardy and exits the set.

Tigre Uno vs Manik

World Title Series Match – Group X-Division

Tigre Uno hits a Twisting Plancha after driving Manik from the ring. He comes out with an Asai Moonsault, but Manik slams him down off the apron. Manik struggles and beats the count, as they put over the fact he can advance to the next round with a win tonight. Manik has the head and dragging the man inside, whip to the block, Uno is down.

Manik punches into Uno and drawing the ire of the fans in Orlando, Manik has a shin choke in with assists from both bottom ropes. Manik has Uno on the top and besmirches his face by tugging the mask. Uno gets fired up and starts back with chops, but gets his eyes raked and Manik makes him humble.

Rake to the face as the fans get behind Tigre, but Manik wraps the head and suplex into the back suplex, Josh announces the brackets contest, check out the website and win a trip to the tourney. Josh and Pope shout out excitement and also run for Don West. Hell yeah Don West.

Front rear hammerlock and Uno on his face, Manik fingers the other hand and hyperextends with leverage from above. Uno begins to fight up and after running the ropes thrice he hits a jumping DDT. Tigre showing signs of exhaustion, misses the buzzsaw kick but kicks skull on the way back. Uno to the top!

MANIK THROWS HIM OFF!

MANIK TO THE TOP! FROGSLASH ROLL!

UNO CHARGES MANIK HARDYAC ARREST IN THE CORNER NO! MANIK TOSSES HIM UP!

GTS Standing SWitch MANIK DOUBLE ARM INTO THE FRONT LUNGBLOWER! Manik did not get him!

MANIK to the ropes, UNO!

ARGENTINE FACEBUSTER!

HARDYAC ARREST!!

SPLIT LEG CORKSCREW MOONSAULT!!!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Tigre Uno at 6:55, Three Maneuver Combination

Tigre Uno has six points, Manik has three.

We look at Eric Young and James Storm and their match tonight.

Next week, it is Manik vs Tigre Uno vs DJ Z. Two pinfalls or submissions will decide who goes ahead in a sudden death triple threat. The X-Division will decide who advances and which man is gone for good.

Josh immediately puts over Bobby Roode and Eric Young, saying Abyss and Storm can’t beat them. We look again at the Bobby Roode which I will post again so you don’t have to scroll up.

Eric Young vs James Storm

World Title Series Match – Group TNA Originals

They show how both competitors arrived at their place today. It is do or die for both EY and Storm.

Young attacks Storm before the bell, and James gets beat down in the corner. EY takes the man down and we go to break.

Eric is still beating on Storm and two count only. Young slams the shot in cables, Storm to the outside and takes a shot. Young slams Storm into the steps, James gets his back raked, and Eric comes off the apron with a double axe. You know we haven’t seen in awhile? Chris Melendez. How come he wasn’t in the tournament and Crimson was?

Crimson versus Mahabali Shera, up next.

Storm is actually working the fans and Young cheapshots him. Cover by EY and Storm goes outside, EY on the attack. He’s really kicking the crap outta Storm in this one. James Storm has become the face, which is awesome to me.

Finally Storm gets a forearm and hits an atomic drop. Hames sent up and over and lands a back brain heel kick. Swinging neckbreaker and a “Cowboy chant.” Lungblower! Knee to the head! James misses the Last Call, Piledriver from EY no! Storm with the Eye of the Storm! ONE, TWO, NO.

“LET’S GO COWBOY”

James misses the charge and Eric Young has the stack and feet on the ropes! Earl counts three but saw the feet and it does not count. James Storm takes Eric down and sets for the Superkick, EY pulls the Ref in the way! Storm throws Earl and EY kicks him in the guts, sets for the Piledriver, but James twists up and out ERIC LOWBLOW AND PILEDRIVER that is it, James Storm is out of the World Title Series.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Eric Young at 10:07, Piledriver

Eric Young has six points, James Storm has three.

Crossfire: ECIII vs Matt Hardy sans EC3

Matt Hardy talks a lot of trash. He is the guy. When it’s all said and done, he will be the guy.

His promo skills are nothing compared to Ethan Carter III, who will talk later.

When asked, he loves his chances.

He also picks Bobby Roode to win the m.e.

Mahabali Shera vs Aiden O’Shea

World Title Series Match – Group Wildcard

Mahabali Shera is a dancing fool and I guess the fans like him. His offense is kind of boring and non descript, but it’s my job so he gets a chant with a headlock of doom. Aiden is in the ropes and yelling, Aiden puts a cigar in his face and Mahabali Shera be like: bitch smoking ain’t cool!

Truth.

Aiden beats down Mahabali for wasting his last Cuban, because Rum. O’Shea just grabs face and squeezes, how come more people don’t do that? The drag outside and the ham fisted forearm slams down across the back. He spits on the audience does Aiden, and brawling with Shera he taunts the man with the “RIGHT HERE C’MON” yells as he sits up top but Shera comes to task and big slaaam!

Aiden sits up arm on back, Shera running clothesline. Again. In the corner. Suplex to bodyslam. Actually one of the easiest moves to do. Gets punched in the stomach. Fist measured, missed up and SKY HIGH.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Mahabali Shera at 4:47, Sky High

Shera has nine, Aiden O’Shea has three. Kenny King can still qualify if he beats Crazzy Steve. So Kenny King will qualify folks, and Aiden O’Shea is probably out of the tournament. Next week anyways.

Roode/Abyss tonight.

Here’s one from the vault.

Eric Young cuts another awesome promo because he won. Which you think he’d be quiet if he lost? Nope. Young likes to talk so much he’s had more airtime than even EC3 up to this point. Didn’t this guy recover from throat cancer? Seriously but he does a good job.

Eli Drake vs Crimson

World Title Series Match – Group Future 4

The Prince of Eternia heads to take on Beast Man. Crimson just tosses Drake around, repeatedly whupping his ass. Drake gets a suplex but no covers. Crimson gets crotched getting back in the ring. Rollup by Drake.

Drake with the shoulder and attacking. I don’t see why he doesn’t keep the He-Man breastplate on. Shot the face, armbar DDT, Drake gets a two.

The fans are chanting for Crimson. Now Crimson has been eliminated,

Oh Thank God. Ethan Carter III cuts in and he wants his interview. Josh says no and Ethan gets pissed and storms off.

Okay back in the ring Eli Drake eats an elbow and a headbutt. Pope says Keith Mitchell just wanted to get it while it’s good and put Carter on the TV. Crimson socks down Eli and I think every Crimson match should be an Ethan Carter Interview.

DRAKE snaps the arm off the ropes to the floor! Eli inside and the Prince has got to power up! “ELI SUCKS” as Drake attacks the shoulder, wrenching in the overhead armbar. By the Power of Grayskull! Crimson taps.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Eli Drake at 5:17, Overhead Armbar

Eli Drake has seven points, Crimson has zero.

Crossfire: ECIII vs Matt Hardy sans Matt Hardy

Carter has beaten everyone including Angle and no, he is not okay. But he will be when he defeats Matt. He is not obsessed with Matt, he is obsessed with beating him. He says he doesn’t care who wins Austin Aries versus Lashley. He says whoever advances goes with him to the next round but it doesn’t matter. He will go through the 16, the 8, the Final Four, and he will regain his World Championship, his gift, his glory, MY PRECIOUS, and he will remain the unpinned, unsubmitted, undefeated, Heavyweight Champion of the World. Done.

And now, brought to you by 411mania, taped from Orlando, this

Bobby Roode vs Abyss

World Title Series Match – Group TNA Originals

Both have decently long entrances. Always good to set the stage.

“BOBBY” chants as Roode riles the base.

Lockup and Abyss shoves him off, Abyss Taunt One, Arms in an X.

GOOZLE. Roode with the head, to the ropes a shoulder and Roode is down.

Roode presses L2 and R2 at the same time when the meter flashes and steals Abyss Taunt One, Arms in an X.

Clotheslines from Roode and a rout cut off by a headbutt. GOOZLE. Kicked. Kicked again, same spot! Roode for the whip but Abyss is like nope. Pickup and Sidewalk Slam. We go to break.

Abyss runs Roode back over the top, Earl Hebner counting Roode out. But Abyss breaks the count by going out and takes a kick for his troubles. Roode and Abyss fight across the floor, whip reversed as Roode sent hurtling over the stairs. Abyss stalks and looming over Bobby, he has he head and swats him back down. Abyss has the chair and Ref says get it out. Abyss puts the chair in the ropes and that is always legal by the wrestling rulebook. Schoolboy by Bobby and Abyss kicks out at two.

Roode fighting to his feet and Abyss reeling, five minutes to go.

Roode sends Abyss in and reversed, clothesline explodes off the ropes. Roode finally manages a flying lariat that takes the monster down. Bobby with the jump to the ropes, caught! Roode with the Diamond Dust off the top rope! Big Boot!

Roode for the GOOZLE! AND CHOKESLAM!?! NO!

ROODE WITH THE ARMBAR AND THE CRIPPLER CROSSFACE!

Earl breaks the hold, Abyss hit the ropes.

Three minutes to go. Roodebomb?! NO! GOOZLE!

CHOKESLAMMMM

ONE TWO THRE NO!

So Close!

Abyss goes outside and he has Janice. Janice you bitch, don’t fuck this up. You always fuck this up.

Abyss inside and misses, Janice in the turnbuckle, gets caught in the DOUBLE R SPINEBUSTER.

PINFALL! ROODE WILL ADVANCE!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Bobby Roode at 13:30, Janice you bitch
