411’s TNA Impact Report 6.17.15

* Welcome.
* Match times are not exact.

Previously, on TNA Impact…

And we begin with a tribute to the Dream, Virgil Runnels aka DUSTY RHODES!
Flip Flop and Fly on to heaven Big Dust….

As we look at a review from last week’s TNA to see Kurt Angle guarantee a MOTY contender in his fight with Austin Aries, now the number two contender as Ethan Carter III has moved past him with Austin’s loss to Kurt. The contract signing happens tonight, your hosts are Josh Matthews and The Pope, Daddy.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Mike Tenay is in the ring to kick things off. It’s time for

TROUBLE x Infinity

Contract Signing: Kurt Angle vs EC3

598 days undefeated. Nice.

Tyrus has joined EC3, and Kurt Angle makes his entrance. The Champion- or EC3 begins.

“Ever since the first time I walked backwards down that ramp…” classic. EC3 tells Kurt he’s the best man in the business, defeating the very best this business has to offer. It’s true. Eliciting a “Cena Sucks” chant. And they all have in common, the fact Angle has beaten them – but EC3 can’t be beaten. He is the end point, the zero sum gain and he will take the torch from Angle. Carter signs the contract.

“E C 3” “SUCKS!” as Orlando enjoys this standoff.

Angle asks Tenay how many contract signings he’s done. About 100. Angle tells EC3 how talented he is, but doesn’t deserve the title for just being undefeated. That was then… and Kurt is healthy, and believes in his heart he is the greatest wrestler alive. What happens when Carter loses?

“It’s gonna haunt you for the rest of your life.”

Angle signs the contract. The match is official for July 1st. And now they get to choose each other’s opponents for tonight. Kurt picks Lashley, the number 3 contender, and The Destroyer walks out on stage.

Next week, Low Ki vs Grado vs Tigre Uno for the title. And about those tag team titles?

We see how Roode used the lowblow and chair to take the series to 2-1, finally getting on the board. Davey Richards makes his way out and gets a “Wolves” chant going. Eddie and Davey have sacrificed their bodies from all across the world to be the best. Whoever holds the title is the best in the world. They’ve run through every tag team from legends to TLC matches, to still find some questions unanswered. Roode and Aries are great wrestlers -but- the Dirty Heels snuck out a victory. Which was the fault of the Wolves for getting tricked.

Eddie: Dirty Heels? We’re done waiting. What do you say we do match 4 right here, right now?

The Wolves vs The Dirty Heels

Best of 5 Series for the –

“Off the Chain” kicks up and Bobby Roode walks out. He says Aries had a MOTY and he isn’t cleared to wrestle. He’s home and resting up, relaxing. They’re former World Heavyweight Champions. They will choose who wrestles when and where.

Okay maybe not.

Bobby Roode is challenged to a singles match… And Roode says no… but says if they really want to, let’s make it interesting. The winner gets to pick the stipulation for match 4. The Wolves agree, well Davey does and Eddie says this fight is his. Right now. We have a match!

Bobby Roode vs Eddie Edwards

Winner Chooses the Stip for Match 4

Edwards and Roode circle, Eddie taken with the kneelift, inside, and a big punch from Bobby Roo. Whip and Roode charges to be sent outside, Eddie with the press through the ropes, suicida crashing into Bobby. Big Slap (Whoo!) and Edwards full of fury as he looks for his revenge. Edwards eliciting a chant and sends Bobby back inside but Roode gets the upper foot and stomps Eddie down. Kicks to the corner and SHUT UP Roode tells the Ref. Whip and Edwards baseball slide, up and SHINING WIZARD ONE TWO NO.

Eddie in control and arm twist in the corner, cross whip and charges into the knees. Bobby uses the time to recuperate as the announces mention the winner takes the stipulation. A series of kneedrops from Bobby Roode and slows the match down. Big Chops (Whoo!) in the corner and a snapmare followed by a rolling necksnap. Roode to the crowd, a mixed reaction from the Impact Zone as Davey tries to encourage Edwards to get up. Eddie battles back, chops and a whip reversed as Bobby takes him down but does not get two as he did not hook the leg. A chinlock to keep Edwards down in the center of the ring and again Bobby slows the momentum down.

Eddie fights back and hits a headbutt as Bobby with the pickup and front face suplex! Eddie retreats to the ropes as Bobby charges and nails the lariat! Roode sends Eddie in who comes out with a leg lariat to knock Bobby down. Roode and Edwards trade forearms, and Eddie hits a chop, again, and again- (WHOOx?) and Bobby goes down. The fans are chanting “EDDIE” as Bobby wraps for the Roode Bomb but Eddie counters. He takes Roode up and hits a Piggyback Stunner off the buckles to gain a long two count.

Edwards goes up top and flies to roll as Bobby ducked and catches Eddie for a Double R Spinebuster and a two. The fans are cheering as Roode works Davey, spitting to call as Austin runs a chair in! Roode misses the chair and Davey grabs it as Eddie wraps the rollup! The Wolves will call the Stipulation.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Eddie Edwards at 8:16, via rollup

Match no 4? Full Metal MAYHEM.

Promo for The Destroyer, the fans seemed to like it as Bobby Lashley is your number three contender, and the man who will meet EC3 tonight on TNA Impact.

We cut to the back as JB is looking for Bram’s oppone- Joseph Park?

Park throws a tribute to Dusty and talks about how his legal business is over. He invested in Tout. Ha. He heard what Bram was saying, and this is his shot to get back on in the ring and return to TNA Impact Wrestling. He wants to be the Guy on Top. We shift to Bram backstage and he’s coming to rush the camera? Bram looking for Da Pay Windah up next!

Drew Galloway is here to show your Impact. He’s tired of the negativity. He’s tired of the rumors. #STANDUP dammit.

Joseph says you know what? Bram attacks!

Bram vs Joseph Park

Bram is all over Joseph Park, taking him to the corner and a series of strikes with a slap for good measure. Bram misses the charge and Park on the attack but Bram clotheslines him down. He beats down Joseph and slides outside to grab the chair. He comes in and Park strikes back! Joseph goes for the chair, but hesitates before snapping it up and Bram is begging off? Joseph sets up the table a bit better, and pointing at the wood grabs Bram who skids and ducks a lariat, diving SPEAR THROUGH THE TABLE AND the pin is academic.

Taryn Terrell is in her Dollhouse, and announces should Kong and Brooke will go Double or Nothing. If they win against Marti and Jade, they get title shots, if they lose, they will never get a shot again.

The World is Burning.

Injustice Must be Extinguished.

For the Wicked, Playtime is Over.

Alright then.

Moments ago, Angle chose Lashley to take on EC3. Josh Matthews is beside himself as Pope says The Dollhouse is coming up. We go to a hype promo for the Knockouts. Because I can…

The Dollhouse start the brawl and Kong and Jade are in the ring, the match finally starts-

Awesome Kong & Brooke vs The Dollhouse

Double or Nothing

-as Brooke has taken the attack. Pope says Kong shoulda waited for her intro and Josh says 1980 wants its heel color commentator back. Taryn is directing traffic. Tonight at Midnight, Taryn will tie Gail Kim for the longest reigning Knockouts Champ at 211 days. Jade and Marti make Brooke pay, stomping and kicking her into the ropes. Brooke fires back, as the announcers say Brooke is the only one to have beaten The Dollhouse, which isn’t exactly true as Laura Dennis won by DQ. A Roll N Slice from Jade gets two and she goes back to choking. Earl makes the count but no, Brooke gets going and avoids the dropkick.

Both women rise as Marti helps Jade in the corner, and makes the tag in to throw Brooke down by her hair. She goes apocalyptic and rakes the face with two hands. Sends Brooke headfirst into the corner to tag in Jade and a snap for the suplex as Jade takes Brooke over. Leg is hooked and only gets a two. Cover again but no. Brooke fights back but takes a kneelift to the abs. Jade has the hair as the fans want Kong. Jade misses the Asai and Brooke has a chance, crawling to get on over to Kong and does- Kong runs in and runs over Marti! The scoop and the slam! She sets for the Implant Buster but Jade hits the dropkick and they both try a suplex, Kong reverses and snaps both herself.

Brooke spears Jade and Kong runs into a boot, Marti leaps into the goozle, up and CHOKESLAM. Kong tags in and shades of her Joker’s Wild double team with Rockstar Spud! Brooke off Kong to land the elbow and wins Double or Nothing!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Brooke and Awesome Kong at 6:24 via Samoan Elbowdrop

We look at how Eric Young ripped the prosthetic leg of Chris Melendez off at Hardcore War and beat him with it. Chris Melendez is on his way to the ring next.

Earlier tonight, Roode tried shenanigans and The Wolves took advantage, we have Full Metal Mayhem next week, which could see the Dirty Heels draw 2-2.

On his way out, Chris Melendez salutes the Impact Zone and makes his way down to the ring. An IED cost him his leg, but he always wanted to be a professional wrestler. Trained by Bully Ray and Devon, Melendez approaches the ring as the fans chant “THANK YOU CHRIS.” Melendez tells Christy EY disrespected the uniform, the country, and the flag.

“U S A!”

“Eric! I got one foot in the grave, that didn’t stop me overseas, that won’t stop me now!”

And out comes Eric Young.

“You went to war, you paid the price.”

Young compliments Melendez as an American Hero. But he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about the fans, anybody, just himself. The war stuff is over. The new chapter says Eric is the 5 Star General, a God. And Chris Melendez is a nobody. In Pro Wrestling, EY is top of the mountain. World Class. (Elite) So Chris wants revenge? Eric took his leg off in Hardcore War, and made it up on the fly, but when he faces Chris, he’s going to plan. He questions Chris’s determination and dedication when he’s faced by himself against a World Class (Elite) Maniac.

Melendez agrees that he has a lot to overcome. He does want to beat Eric’s ass, and will see him next week. Eric stares him dead in the eyes and tells Chris he’s done.

Still to come in our main event, Lashley “The Destroyer” one on one with the unbeaten EC3.

Jesse Godderz vs DJZ

Matthews and Pope talk about the Modern Day Adonis as he put Robbie E out of action. DJZ from Ibiza on his way, and runs to jump Jesse! Whip to the ropes, Jesse gets caught in the ropes, back roll and jawbreaker, back elbow off the second and Jesse fires back with shots, Jesse comes running with the hurricanrana NO! Godderz turns it into a Powerbomb!

Jesse tells Earn to get out of his way, drops for the cover but gets a two. Forearms across the face as Godderz picks up DJZ who had an armtrap and throws him into the ropes! Adonis Crab and DJZ has to tap!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Jesse Godderz at 1:41 via the Adonis Crab

“Do you think that was a mistake? Are you people that stupid? I’m the man! The only time I’ve ever felt like all you people, and this loser, is when I was part of the BroMans with Robbie E. I’m the reason the BroMans won. I’m the reason we held the World Tag Team Championships twice!”

Jesse tells everyone Robbie was busy with Brooke on the Amazing Race, and DJZ was performing in dive bars, but Godderz was training. He wraps Zema around the throat.

“Do you feel what it feels like to be breathless? A Loser? Alone?”

Jesse Godderz picks up DJZ for the gorilla to the floor and Robbie makes the save! He stomps a mudhole into Godderz and hits a Thesz Press! Jesse battling back, but Robbie E tosses him to the floor! The fans are cheering as Robbie yells “COME ON BRO!” and The BroMans scream at each other.

We recap as Storm shoves Mickie off the platform and taunts Magnus right after. Tonight, Magnus has demanded a live mic and time in the ring to address James Storm of The Revolution, up next.

Magnus is here and rolls inside to talk to Storm.

“I’m gonna start cracking heads, left and right, till you show up and face me!”

Impact Security walks out to make Magnus leave who threatens them. Magnus threatens Dixie Carter, Bob Ryder and Big, he will not forgive-

Cue the whistle… and the sound of “God’s gonna cut you down” Storm makes his way out from the back. James Storm mocks Magnus for trying to warn Mickie, but it was Magnus who looked jealous and was manipulated into smashing James with a guitar. James says Magnus didn’t know what Mickie was doing when the cameras were off. And he wheels out Nick’s baby from backstage, and tells him Mickie James turned him down and is a sorry excuse for a woman. Magnus charges and attacks! Security wrestle him back as they almost hit the carriage, but Security blocks and Magnus attacks them!

James shoves the carriage off the stage but it was just a doll. Nice.
