411’s TNA IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 1.07.15
* Match times are not exact.

* We get a new open, looking at the wrestlers preparing for tonight’s debut and a motivational speech by Bobby Roode.

* We see the wrestlers arriving at the venue and have a big stand off and then brawl outside and into the building. We see them spill into the balcony area and continue the big brawl all around the venue. Even the knockouts are brawling. Crowd seems hot for the brawl until Kurt Angle comes out to yell at security. Angle puts over the venue and says that everyone wants to see a fight and asks the crowd if they want to see it continue. Angle then calls out Low Ki and tells him he will defend the title tonight. He also says that Taryn Terrell will defend her title tonight. Storm and Abyss, they will defend their titles tonight. EVERY title is on the line tonight! Angle then tells Roode that his match with Lashley is the main event and he expects it to be the match of the year. MVP then cuts Angle off and asks if he will discuss assaulting him? We get “SHUT THE FUCK UP” chants, censored of course. MVP continues to talk trash and dares Angle to attack him. MVP says that Angle is scared to lose his job, and should have been fired. MVP basically calls Angle a coward and a shadow of a man that he used to be. Angle used to make people tap and make people afraid. MVP used to study Angle, but the real Angle is one. 2015 Angle is nothing but a suit wearing man with no balls. MVP says Angle is DONE. Angle says MVP is right; Angle did step down as the executive director. But the good news is that he was activated as a wrestler, and the last match he made before that was Angle vs., MVP in a street fight and that starts NOW!

Street Fight: Kurt Angle vs. MVP: We’re joined in progress as MVP and Angle have already started their street fight. They brawl, Angle with a roll up for 2. Angle then hits a German, MVP counters the second and looks for a kimura. Angle escapes with the head scissors, MVP escapes and walks into another German. Another connects and then the third in a row. MVP counters the Angle slam and rolls into a knee bar. Angle manages to escape, but MVP tries to work the knee and does so by slamming Angle’s knee off of the post. MVP grabs a chair, delivers rights to Angle and then nails Angle in the knee with the chair as he laid on the steps. Stomps to the knee by MVP, tosses Angle back into the ring and covers for 2. Repeated covers by MVP, but Angle kicks out each time. MVP looks for a powerbomb, Angle backdrops out and rolls into the ankle lock. MVP rolls and then locks in a head and arm choke. Angle rolls over, rights to MVP to break and then back to the ankle lock. MVP fights again, rolls out and sends Angle to the corner. MVP then misses the running kick, Angle slam follows and Angle covers and gets the pin as MVP almost kicked out.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Kurt Angle @ 6:00 via pin

* All champions will defend their titles tonight.

* MVP is bitching backstage at Kenny King for not being out there to help him. King was apparently with the ladies, and put pleasure before business. MVP is now going to remind Lashley why he was champion in the first place.

* Matthews and Taz get to officially welcome us to the show.

* We see random camera shots of backstage, and see Joe, Angelina Love and the Bro Mans having a conversation.

* EC3 is here with Tyrus, he’s still the Hardcore American Icon and mocks the fans. He plans to take apart Spud piece, by piece, by piece. He sends Tyrus to get Spud.

* Matthews is happy to be here with Taz and taking over for Mike Tenay.

* Tenay now joins them backstage, and discusses his new gig on Saturdays for Impact Unlocked. We see a conversation Storm and Tenay had earlier today, discussing the formation of the Revolution. Strom says that was the plan, he blinded the great professor Mike Tenay, so everyone else will be easy sailing. Strom says that management did not fulfill their part of the deal, so the Revolution is here to help him collect. Strom says that the Revolution follows him because he will speak the truth to them. Tenay puts over the way Storm cashed in for the tag team titles, and wants to talk long term. Strom is not here for titles or to entertain, they are here in TNA for blood. Strom says he’s the one people should be warned about.

* The Revolution will face the Wolves it appears. But the Hardys are out as we head to commercial…

* Back from commercial and the match begins as the Hardys are at ringside.

TNA Tag Team Title Match: The Revolution (James Strom and Abyss) © w/Manik and Sanada vs. The Wolves (Richards and Edwards): The Wolves now have claw marks air brushed on their chests. * EC3 is here and says that he will get Spud, NEXT.

* MVP argues with Lashley backstage. MVP says he took care of him and without MVP there is no Lashley. MVP says he runs this and Lashley slams MVP against the wall. Lashley says this is not about MVP, this is only about getting his title back. MVP and king leave him and tell him good luck getting his title back.

* Jeremy Borash is in the ring to celebrate the first show on Destination America. EC3 comes to the ring. EC3 says this is 2015, the year of the lord of wrestling, EC3. What he says is gospel, so when he says he is very good it is a fact. He’s unbeaten, also a fact. When he says 2015 is the year he becomes world champion, and that is also a fact. But before he does that he has some business to deal with. Mixed reaction for EC3. He made a promise to take apart Spud piece by piece and to end his career. He calls out Spud, and Tyrus comes out, shoving a beaten Spud down the ramp. He then drags him to the ring. Spud tries to fight back but Tyrus slams him to the floor. EC3 promises to finish off Spud and looks to scalp Spud. Borash stands up to EC3 and asks if he has already done enough. EC3 tells him to stand down but Borash slaps him and the camera MISSED it. Tyrus grabs Borash and tosses him to the corner and hits the big splash. EC3 then cuts some of Borash’s hair as Tyrus hold Spud back. He scalped him right down the middle. EC3 and Tyrus leave as Spud covers up Borash.

* King and MVP argue backstage. King says Lashley was wrong, and MVP says they are better than everyone, and even played by the rules. Things are about to change, if things work out as planned like he did a long time ago. Audio was poor there, hard to hear the promo.

* We get replays of the Borash segment.
