411’s IMPACT WRESTLING REPORT 11.05.14

* We get a video package highlighting Bobby Roode’s road back to the TNA Title.

* Kurt Angle is in the ring, and says that tonight is a great night because there is a new TNA World Champion. He calls out Bobby Roode. Roode says that words cannot describe the moment, wrestlers dream of the moment, to win the world title and stand here as the champion. Besides his family, wrestling is all he has. He loves pro wrestling, it’s all he thinks about. When he laced up his first pair of boots, he just wanted to wrestle and be the best. Holding the TNA title means that he is the best. he’s happy to be here tonight and to share this moment with Angle, a man he’s been up and down the road with. He calls Angle the greatest pro wrestler that ever lived. He’s proud to be here as the champion, and is proud to be their champion.

MVP, King and Lashley now make their way out to the ring. MVP calls Roode a sorry excuse for a competitor. Lashley was the most dominant champion in TNA history, but the fans boo him, they don’t appreciate him. MVP doesn’t understand why they cheer for Roode, a man who got a title shot that he didn’t deserve, from a man that is unscrupulous, who inserted himself into last weeks match. MVP calls Roode and Angle cheaters and adds that Roode could never beat Lashley without cheating. MVP says then that he deserves the title shot and that Lashley was only champion because he got hurt. Lashley doesn’t seem amused by this. Angle asks Roode if he will defend against MVP, and Roode agrees to it. Lashley again is not amused at all as MVP says he will be come the champion tonight.

* Low Ki and Joe discuss their success as a tag team. Ki says Joe was a partner that could guarantee victory. Joe says he is appalled that people did not think that they could get along. But they are committed to being great, and tonight they face greatness in the Hardys. But all great things crumble, and the sledgehammers have arrived.

Tag Team Tournament Finals: Matt and Jeff Hardy vs. Low Ki and Samoa Joe: Jeff and Ki to begin. Ki flashes some kicks, gets a go behind but Jeff counters into a side headlock. To the corner they go, clean break by Ki. Lock up, go behind by Jeff and some clubbing shots to the back of the head follow. Tag to Matt, he works the arm of Ki. Ki escapes that and lays in the chops to Matt. Tag to Joe, rapid fire jabs follow and Matt is down. Tag back to Ki, off the ropes and they lay in the kicks to Matt, and Ki then covers for 2 after landing a springboard kick. Matt tries to battle back with forearms, gets the tag to Jeff and he gets a snap mare and dropkick, the cover gets 2. Tag to Matt, elbow off the second rope connects as Jeff holds Ki, and Matt then covers for 2. Hardy double teams follow and Jeff gets the cover for 2 as Joe makes the save. Jeff slams Ki to the corner, head scissors by Jeff and then charges Ki but eats boots. Kick to the back of the head by Ki, tag to Joe and Joe lays the boots to Jeff. Charging back elbow by Joe connects and the cover gets 2. Snap mare, chops, kicks and then the knee drop all connect for Joe, who then covers for 2. We head to a commercial…

Back from commercial as Joe takes Jeff to the corner, Jeff fights back and leaps over Joe. Jeff charges to the other corner and hits the whisper in the wind. Both men are down, tags to Ki and Matt. Matt with clotheslines, but Ki then cave sin his chest with a kick. Matt back with the side effect and covers for 2. Matt attacks Joe, tries a bulldog and does as he also clotheslines Ki. Matt then covers Ki for 2. Slam by Matt, he sets Joe up, heads up top but Ki cuts him off and into the tree of woe. DOUBLE STOMP YOU! 1…2… but Jeff makes the save. Gutbuster suplex by Jeff on Ki, he sets for poetry in motion but Joe grabs the choke from the apron. Ki gets a near fall for 2. Twist of fate on Ki, but Joe makes the save. Joe runs wild on Jeff with he backsplash and Enziguri. Rear naked choke on Matt, but Jeff then flies in with a swanton onto his own brother to break it up. Ki looks for the Ki Krusher, countered by Jeff and a tag to Matt now. Poetry in motion connects. Jeff up top, swanton on Ki! Moonsault by matt onto Ki and Jeff keeps Joe away as Matt covers for the pin.

* Matt and Jeff Hardy earn a future shot at the TNA Tag Team Titles.

* James Storm talks with Richards, telling him that he is here for him and to help him. He is giving him one week, and then wants his answer.

* Roode says he has no issue with defending his title against MVP. MVP took pro wrestling away from Roode when he suspended him, so tonight, Roode will prove why he is the champion and why he is more of an MVP to the company than anyone will be.

* We get a video package on the history of Gunner and Samuel Shaw.

* Samuel Shaw and Brittany make their way to the ring. Shaw says he turned his back on Gunner, the man that was his friend and he looked up to like he was a brother. But with the help of Brittany, he discovered that Gunner looked at him as a charity case. Brittany says Gunner was never his friend, and Christy Hemme could never appreciate his artistic genius like she can. And they can’t do the things that she can do for him. She then licks him. They make out in the ring and old cock-block Gunner comes out to ruin the party for Shaw. Gunner says he was a friend to Shaw, but apparently crazy attracts crazy. Gunner says that Shaw didn’t want to be like Gunner, he wanted to BE Gunner. Gunner calls them creepy bastards, and Shaw gets upset. Gunner mocks him and they brawl. Shaw tries to run, but Gunner beats him down and chokes him out with his shirt. Brittany jumps on Gunner’s back, leading to Shaw low blowing Gunner. Shaw then slams Gunner to the post and Brittany hands Shaw his black gloves. Shaw locks in his standing choke, and puts Gunner to sleep. Shaw and Brittany make out more.

* We get a video package for Mahabali Shera, the new addition to the TNA roster from India.

* Kurt Angle signs some papers backstage, and MVP arrives to thank him for the title shot and for making things so easy for him. MVP says that Angle thinks this is all about him, but Angle says that everyone knows what MVP’s game is now.

Hardcore Rules Match: Bram and Magnus vs. Devon and Tommy Dreamer: Devon and Tommy Dreamer attacks Bram and Magnus as they make their entrance. They brawl around ringside, Dreamer and Magnus in the ring and Devon joins him. They bear Magnus down and toss him to the floor, Bram in and tossed as well. Back to the floor and Devon and Dreamer use water bottle based offense, until Magnus crotches Dreamer on the barricade. Devon and Bram in the ring and Magnus cuts him off with the turnbuckle rod. They choke out Devon with a shirt, but Dreamer is back with a trashcan lid and cookie sheet to even the odds. He then tosses more toys into the ring, but he then eats a drop toehold into the chair. Magnus levels him with a can shot, they set Dreamer in a chair and clothesline him out of it. Bram keeps Devon on the floor as they continue to beat down Dreamer. Double back body drop on Dreamer and Bram covers for 2. Magnus to the floor and eats a lid shot from Devon. Devon works over Bram, lid shot follows and Bram is down. He crushes his balls with the trashcan and then hits it with a chair. Magnus back in, takes out Devon and cuts Dreamer off as he went up top. Dreamer fight shim off, Bram over and now Devon for the tower of doom spot. Devon is fired up and gets the tables. Bram stops that and with the table on the floor, looks to suplex Devon through it, but gets tossed through it. Magnus has a kendo stick and takes out Devon. He then hits Dreamer repeatedly with it. Dreamer kicks Magnus in the balls and tosses him into the trashcan in the corner. DDT by Dreamer and that is all.

* Gail Kim says she is going to get her title back tonight.

* Spud makes his way to the ring for an interview with Jeremy Borash. Spud says that he doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him; he did things he’s not proud of. When he won British Boot Camp, he came to TNA and had nothing. But Dixie Carter made him the Chief of Staff, and he would have done anything for her and his best friend EC3. That was until EC3 turned into a wanker. Carter said bad things to him, made him feel bad and made fun of his suits. He likes his suits and will change for no one. He calls EC3 a douchebag and says he doesn’t need him anymore. Borash says that Spud won BBC because he won everyone over, and the same thing is happening here. Borash says that he’s with Spud and they hug. Here comes Carter and Tyrus. Carter calls this whole scene pathetic, and says in a sea of losers, Spud has been appointed their new fearless leader. Carter then mocks Borash for taking part in this miscarriage. Carter says Borash owes everything to the Carters, just like Spud. Carter and Tyrus make their way to the ring and says he will give Spud a chance to apologies to him. Carter and Tyrus surround him and Carter demands that Spud apologize. Spud refuses, and Tyrus grabs Spud and Carter demands he apologize and Spud says he is sorry, sorry Carter is a big nosed douchebag. Carter gets pissed and says he will end his career. Borash gets involved and then slaps Borash. Spud tries to make the save, and now Eric Young is out with a chair. Young clears the ring to make the save.

* Kim is still selling the injured left shoulder. Kim attacks Havok as she makes her entrance, but Havok attacks the left shoulder and takes control. She tries to slam the shoulder into the post, but the ref stops that. Havok confronts the ref, and that allows Kim to attack. Havok takes control back quickly. Havok slams Kim to the post and continues to beat on Kim. Kim tries to fight back, the ref tries to get this into the ring so that the match can start, but Havok drags Kim up the ramp by her hair. Kim with kicks now, but Havok then tosses her off the ramp to the floor. The ref checks on Kim and more refs come out along with agents. EMTs arrive as we head to commercial.

* The medical staff tries to tell Kim that she cannot compete, but she says bullshit and will perform.

Knockouts Title Match: Havok © vs. Gail Kim: Havok attacks Kim right away, gets the bear hug and hammerlock and slams Kim to the corner and then slams her to the mat. Havok misses an elbow drop, Kim fires back and hits a dropkick and corner splash. Havok cuts her off and sends her to the floor. Havok follows, but Kim slams her to the steps. Kim tries a kick but Havok has her on her shoulders and drops her face first onto the steel steps. Havok back into the ring as the ref counts. Havok cuts off the count, and goes to the floor and tells Kim that this isn’t over. She rolls Kim back into the ring, lays the boots in and tries a hammerlock slam, but Kim turns it into an octopus hold. Havok counters by slamming Kim to the mat, tries a chokeslam, but Kim escapes. Kim then counters a back suplex into a bulldog, forearms follow. Kim using her speed, stunner to the arm follows. Kim to the second rope, leaps off and gets caught. She slides out, up top and hits a moonsault press and that gets 2. Havok counters soul food, and gets the hammerlock slam but Kim kicks out at 2. Kim then counters a chokeslam with soul food, slowly makes the cover but only gets 2. Kim up top now, but leaps into the chokeslam and that is all.

* We see Mahabali Shera in catering earlier today. Manik arrives and gives him a hug. Manik offers him a soda, and they discuss Shera being new and lonely. Manik wants to learn more about him.

* Lashley is packing to leave, and MVP is not happy about this.

TNA World Title Match: Bobby Roode © vs. MVP: Lock up to begin, to the corner they go and Roode breaks clean. MVP doesn’t however and lays the boots to him. Butterfly suplex by MVP follows and the cover gets 2. Side headlock by MVP, off the ropes and a shoulder block by MVP takes Roode down. Roode back with an elbow, knee to the gut follows and then another. Russian leg sweep by Roode, and the cover gets 2. Eye poke by MVP follows, then a boot and Roode is down. MVP sends Roode to the floor and then levels him with a Yakuza kick. MVP slams Roode to the guardrail, and then back into the ring and MVP covers for 2. MVP argues with the ref about the count, Roode back with body shots and chops. Facebuster by MVP stops that, ballin elbow drop and fisherman’s suplex follows, MVP covers for 2. MVP works a half nelson, Roode fights to his feet and MVP with a body shot stops that. Irish whip follows, MVP charges and misses the kick. Spinebuster by Roode follows and that gets 2. Roode sets MVP up top, Roode follows and gets the superplex. Roode covers for 2. Roode bomb cut off, MVP rushes into a boot and Roode then misses the blockbuster. Basement dropkick by MVP connects and the cover gets 2. MVP then misses a kick and Roode gets a rollup for 2. MVP hits the corner boot, tries for the play of the day, but Roode counters into the Roode bomb and that is all.

* Post match, Lashley arrives to spear Roode out of his boots. Lashley then refuses to help MVP to his feet and bails.

* Nest week: Lashley vs. Aries and the Wolves defend against the Hardys.
