411’s WWE at MSG: Show vs. Lesnar Report 10.03.15

Welcome to 411’s WWE Live from MSG: Lesnar vs. Big Show Report. As the name of the show implies, we are LIVE in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden.


Tag Team Match
Randy Orton & Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus & Rusev w/ Summer Rae

It’ll be Orton and Sheamus to start the match. They lock up in the middle of the ring, but Sheamus strikes quick with a volley of punches. Sheamus whips Orton to the corner, but Orton rebounds and levels Sheamus with a clothesline. Orton goes to work with mounted punches in the corner, but Sheamus creates distance and makes the tag to Rusev. Orton and Rusev lock up in the middle of the ring, and Rusev muscles Orton to the corner. Rusev works over Orton in the corner, but Orton halts the momentum with a thumb to the eye. Orton makes the tag to Ziggler, and Ziggler hits a neck breaker and an elbow drop for a two count. Ziggler goes for a running crossbody, but Rusev catches him in mid-air and counters into a swinging side slam for a two count of his own. Rusev makes the tag to Sheamus, and Sheamus hits a front suplex. Sheamus locks in a side headlock and drags Ziggler down to the mat. Ziggler fights back to his feet but misses a drop kick. Sheamus levels Ziggler with a double ax handle and makes the tag back to Rusev. Rusev hits the ropes and connects with a diving head butt for a two count. Ziggler again misses a drop kick, and Rusev catapults him into the corner. Rusev makes the tag to Sheamus, and Sheamus prevents Ziggler from making the tag to Orton. Sheamus hits a scoop slam and makes the quick tag back to Rusev. Ziggler fights to his feet and goes for the Fameasser, but Rusev catches him and dumps him face-first onto the top turnbuckle. Rusev tags Sheamus, and Sheamus steps on Ziggler’s chest. Ziggler counters a scoop slam into a scoop slam of his own, but Sheamus quickly tags Rusev. Ziggler scoop slams Rusev and FINALLY makes the hot tag to Orton as Rusev makes the tag to Sheamus. Orton hits a power slam and his patented rope-assisted DDT. Rusev tries to make the save, but Ziggler super kicks him off the ring apron. Sheamus knocks Ziggler off the apron and sets up for the Brogue Kick, but Orton side steps and hits the RKO for the three count. After the match, Rusev calls Sheamus stupid and blames him for the loss. Rusev says Sheamus is more useless than Lana. Rusev tells Sheamus to go the back, pack his suitcase, and leave. As you might expect, Sheamus does not take well to criticism. Sheamus levels Rusev with a Brogue Kick and tells Rusev to kiss his arse.

Match Result: Randy Orton defeats Sheamus with the RKO.

Renee Young is in the back with Corporate Kane. Kane is on crutches after being attacked by Seth Rollins on Raw. It’s hard to get around on those crutches, but Kane looks at the challenge as an opportunity for personal growth. He’s here to watch Seth Rollins’ steel cage match tonight, and he’ll keep an eye out for that demon that seems to have been haunting Rollins.


Neville vs. Stardust

Neville and Stardust lock up in the middle of the ring, but Stardust quickly drops Neville with a running shoulder block. Neville catches Stardust with in a rear waist lock and then sweeps the leg. Stardust gets back to his feet and eats a hurricanrana. Stardust dumps Neville onto the apron and hits a drop kick over the top rope. Stardust drags Neville back into the ring and locks in a European head lock. Neville fights back to his feet and breaks the hold, but Stardust flings him back down to the mat. Stardust drives a knee into Neville’s back and follows up with a running back elbow shot. Neville fights back with a jaw breaker, but Stardust heads to the outside. Stardust tries to slam Neville’s leg into the ring post, but Neville pulls Stardust face-first into the ring post instead. Neville heads to the apron, kicks Stardust in the face, and hits a gorgeous Asai Moonsault. Neville rolls Stardust back into the ring and heads up top, but Stardust gets back to his feet. Neville heads back down to the mat but gets caught by a side slam. Stardust puts on Neville’s cape and heads up top. Stardust flies at Neville, but Neville counts with a mid-air shot to the gut. Neville back up top and hits the Red Arrow for the three count.

Match Result: Neville defeats Stardust with the Red Arrow.

Renee Young is in the back with Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman knows that MSG is special, and he’s shocked that Big Show has the gall to walk into MSG like… the Boston Celtics. Tonight, Heyman’s home team won’t be on defense. The home team will be on offense, and tonight MSG becomes City Hall of Suplex City. Eat, sleep, conquer, repeat, courtesy of BROCK LESNAR.


Six Diva Tag Team Match
Team PCB vs. Tem Bella

Becky and Alicia start the match. Becky levels Alicia with a back elbow shot and follows up with a scoop slam. Paige reaches out for the tag, but Becky declines. Becky hits the ropes for a leg drop, and Paige makes the blind tag to get into the match. Alicia slaps Paige across the face, and that’s enough for Paige to make the tag back to Becky. Alicia whips Becky to the corner and makes the tag to Brie. Becky chases Brie around the ring, but in the process Nikki gets the tag. Nikki levels Becky with a double ax handle from behind and makes the quick tag to Alicia. Alicia slings Becky to the mat and makes the quick tag to Brie. Brie works over Becky on the mat and drives a knee right into her face. Brie whips Becky to the corner and makes the tag to Nikki. Becky catches Nikki with a roll-up for a two count and FINALLY makes the hot tag to Charlotte. Charlotte hits a spear and goes for the Figure Eight Leg Lock, but Paige tags herself in to break up the hold. Nikki drags Paige to the corner and tags Brie. Brie slams Paige’s head into the top turnbuckle and tags Alicia. Alicia hits a Northern Light Suplex for a two count. Alicia tags Nikki, and Nikki levels Paige with a European uppercut. Nikki locks in a seated chin lock and transitions to a front face lock. Paige breaks free and connects with a kick to the chest. Paige dives to the corner to make the tag, but both Charlotte and Becky drop down off the ring apron. Paige can’t make the tag, and that gives Nikki the opportunity to hit the Rack Attack for the three count. After the match, Paige gets on the mic and says that she can’t believe her teammates would treat her like that. She would never… NEVER treat her teammates like that.

Match Result: Nikki Bella defeats Paige with the Rack Attack.

Intercontinental Championship Match
Kevin Owens (Champion) vs. Chris Jericho

Before the match, Jericho grabs the mic and says that tonight is actually his 25th anniversary in this business. His very first match was on October 3, 1990 against a guy who is sitting in the front row… LANCE STORM! Lance looks great. Jericho promises to win the Intercontinental Championship for a record 10th time tonight. The match starts with Owens on the offensive. Owens muscles Jericho to the corner but eats a drop kick. Owens rolls to the ring apron, but Jericho kicks him to the floor. Jericho follows Owens to the outside and slams Owens’ head onto the announce table. Jericho rolls Owens back into the ring, but Owens catches Jericho with a knee to the face as Jericho climbs back into the ring. Owens lands a volley of punches and another knee to the face. Jericho misses a drop kick, and Owens hits a running senton for a two count. Owens locks in a seated chin lock, but Jericho fights back to his feet. Jericho breaks the hold and chops the chest. Jericho heads up top and connects with a diving as handle to Owens. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but can’t get it locked in. Jericho connects with an enzuigiri but only gets a two count. Owens levels Jericho with a clothesline and goes for the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Jericho tries to counter into the Code Breaker, but Owens counters into a package suplex. Owens charges Jericho in the corner but eats a back elbow shot. Jericho hits the running bulldog and goes for the Lionsault, but Owens gets the knees up. Owens hits the Cannonball and heads up top. Owens goes for a Swanton Bomb, but Jericho gets the knees up. Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring, but Owens makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Owens posts Jericho in the corner and rolls him up from behind for a quick two count. Jericho hits the Code Breaker out of nowhere, but Owens grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. Jericho goes to work with mounted punches, but Owens springs to his feet and hits a super kick. Owens goes for the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Jericho counters into a hurricanrana and tries to roll Owens into the Walls of Jericho, but Owens uses a poke to the eyes to counter into a roll-up pin for the three count.

Match Result: Kevin Owens defeats Chris Jericho with a roll-up pin.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Day (Champions) vs. The Dudley Boyz

D-Von and Kingston start the match as Xavier Woods goes to work with the trombone at ringside. D-Von drops Kingston with a shoulder block and follows up with a back elbow shot. Kingston makes the tag to Big E, so D-Von makes the tag to Bubba. Bubba eats a back elbow shot but retaliates with a back suplex. Kingston gets the tag, but Bubba traps him in the corner and makes the tag to D-Von. D-Von hits the running head butt and gets a two count. Bubba gets the quick tag, but Kingston creates distance and makes the tag to Big E. Big E eats a scoop slam and D-Von goes for the Wasssup head butt, but Woods knocks D-Von off the top. Big E drags Bubba to the corner and tags Kingston. Kingston and Big E trade rapid-fire tags and stomp a mud hole in Bubba. Big E finally drags Bubba to the middle of the ring and locks in a head lock. Bubba breaks free but eats a back elbow shot. Big E makes the cover but only gets a two count. Big E hits the ropes and goes for a running splash, but Bubba rolls out of the way to avoid contact. Bubba FINALLY makes the hot tag to D-Von as Big E tags Kingston. Kingston connects with a back elbow shot and goes for a springboard ax handle, but D-Von ducks. The Dudley Boyz hit the 3D and D-Von covers Kingston, but Woods breaks up the pin and causes the disqualification to end the match. After the match, New Day beat down the Dudley Boyz and bring a table into the ring. Kofi heads up top, but Bubba shoves him to the floor. D-Von tosses Big E out of the ring, and the Dudley Boyz hit Woods with the 3D through the table.

Match Result: The Dudley Boyz defeats the New Day via disqualification.

Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs. Big Show

Lesnar goes for a clothesline but can’t budge Show. Lesnar goes for a double leg takedown, but Show gut wrenches him over the top rope to the outside. Lesnar climbs back into the ring and goes for another double leg, but Show shoves him to the corner and lands a punch to the gut. Lesnar evades a back elbow shot and connects with a shoulder to the gut in the corner. Lesnar goes for a German suplex, but Show counters and hits THREE choke slams. Show goes for the cover, but Lesnar kicks out at two. Show goes for the Knockout Punch, but Lesnar ducks and WELCOME TO SUPLEX CITY! ONE GERMAN SUPLEX! TWO GERMAN SUPLEXES! THREE GERMAN SUPLEXES! Lesnar goes for the F5 but can’t quite get Show up. FOUR GERMAN SUPLEXES! F5 FOR THE THREE COUNT! After the match, Lesnar and Heyman head back up the ramp. Show begins to stir, and that’s enough for Lesnar to return to the ring. BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX! F5!

Steel Cage Match for the United States Championship
John Cena (Champion) vs. Seth Rollins

John Stewart is in the front row (right next to Lance Storm), and Kane is in the building, so my guess is that you’ll see some sort of shenanigans in this match. There’s a great moment before the match when Cena tosses his shirt to John Stewart’s son and then glares at Stewart before climbing into the ring. The match starts with Cena and Rollins locking up in the middle of the ring. Cena quickly find the standing side head lock and drags Rollins down to the mat. Rollins fights back to his feet, breaks the hold, and slams Cena’s face into the cage. Rollins lands a straight right hand to the face and backs Cena into the corner. Rollins splashes Cena in the corner and makes the cover for a two count. Rollins heads for the door, but Cena pulls him back into the ring. Cena whips Rollins to the ropes and ducks his head to telegraph the back body drop, so Rollins kicks him in the chest. Rollins climbs the cage, but Cena pulls him back down to the top rope. Cena hits a bulldog off the top rope but only gets a two count. Cena begins to climb, but Rollins meets him on the top rope. Rollins knocks Cena down to the mat and hits a diving knee to the face off the top rope for a two count of his own. Cena gets back to his feet and tries to climb, but Rollins pulls him down yet again. Rollins grinds Cena’s face across the cage, but Cena regains control with a facebuster from the electric chair position. Cena heads to the top turnbuckle, but Rollins again meets him on the top rope. Cena rams Rollins face-first into the cage and goes for the diving leg drop, but Rollins counters into a sit-out powerbomb for a two count. Rollins slams Cena into the cage, but Cena counters when he tries it again and instead slams Rollins into the cage. Cena hits the Protobomb and sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Rollins kicks him in the face. Rollins heads for the door, but Cena pulls him back into the ring. Rollins hits an enzuigiri and sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Cena kicks him in the face. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle and goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Rollins climbs on to the cage. Rollins goes for a diving knee shot, but Cena counters into the STF. Rollins tries to climb out of the cage with Cena on his back, but Cena breaks the hold and pulls him back into the ring. Cena and Rollins trade escape attempts, but Rollins slams the door into Cena’s face for a two count. Rollins goes for the Pedigree, but Cena counters into a catapult into the corner, but Rollins catches the cage and climbs. Cena pulls Rollins off the cage and climbs to the top of the cage, but Rollins pulls him back to the top rope. Rollins hits a superplex and rolls into a sit-out suplex for a two count. Rollins climbs the cage once again, but Cena meets him at the top of the cage. Cena and Rollins slug it out on top of the cage, but Cena tosses Rollins into the ring and hits a springboard tornado DDT for yet another two count. The referee opens the door for Cena, but Rollins heads up top and kicks the door into Cena’s face. Rollins tries to climb down, but Cena pulls him through the door and goes for the Attitude Adjustment, but Rollins lands on his feet and hits a super kick for a looong two count. Rollins heads for Cena, but Cena catches him in the STF, but Rollins counters into the Crippler Crossface, but Cena tries to counter into the Attitude Adjustment, but Rollins floats over and low blows Cena, which is totally legal in a steel cage match. Rollins climbs the cage… BUT KANE’S MUSIC HITS! THE DEMON KANE MAKES HIS WAY DOWN THE RAMP! Rollins can jump off the cage any time he wants, but Kane is waiting for him on the outside. ROLLINS MISSES A FROG SPLASH FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE, AND CENA HITS THE ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT FOR THE THREE COUNT. Cena leaves the cage after the match, but Kane climbs in and closes the door behind him. Kane choke slams Rollins and follows up with the Tombstone Piledriver.

Match Result: John Cena defeats Seth Rollins with the Attitude Adjustment.
